Louise Thompson's fiancé says her young son has been able to visit her in hospital for the first time in almost two weeks and it was a "difficult and confusing" experience for him.

Louise has suffered from severe health issues and complications since giving birth to her first child at the end of 2021. The reality TV star broke down in tears in December last year, as she detailed her bid to recover from PTSD two years on from son Leo-Hunter's arrival into the world.

The youngster was able to visit her in hospital, seeing her for the first time in weeks last night and writing on his Instagram Stories, Ryan Libbey said it was a very challenging moment. He told his followers: "We just got back from visiting mummy in hospital. That was the first time Leo has seen her in 13 days.

"It was a difficult, emotional and confusing experience for him, but fortunately after a few minutes Leo was cuddling up in bed with him mummy singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The video I took is probably the most precious thing I now own now. Louise is recovering well. Thank you all again for so much for your messages of support."

He revealed on Sunday that the mum-of-one had been in hospital for almost two weeks and was not sure when she will be discharged and return home. "Louise has been in hospital for 12 days now," he began as he broke the news to his followers over the weekend.

"We don't know when she will be ready to come home yet. But thank you to everyone who has sent messages of love and support to our family. It does help." Ryan then shared a snap of himself and son Leo-Hunter, two, and confessed: "We're missing mummy everyday."

Louise and Ryan welcomed their first "little miracle baby" in November 2021, but the birth was dramatic and left both mother and baby "dancing with death". Despite giving birth in November, Louise almost didn't make it home for Christmas due to serious complications. The former Made in Chelsea star was confined to a wheelchair and spent a month in hospital recovering.

She kept the birth of her first baby a secret for five weeks before introducing her newborn to fans. Just before Christmas 2021, Louise wrote on Instagram: "5 weeks ago I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy Leo-Hunter Libbey weighing in at 7lbs. Unfortunately it wasn't the easiest start for either of us. One ended up in NICU and the other ended up in ICU."

Louise then recall how her son Leo-Hunter got better quickly, but she had to fight against a series of complications and almost lost her life. "To dance with death twice brings a whole new view of the world," she wrote at the time. Sadly, Louise is yet to recover fully from the traumatic birth.
