Diablo 4 Season 3 is getting a new limited-time event in the form of the Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening, and it's launching later today.

The Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event was revealed last week and is set to inject some life into the game to celebrate the Year of the Dragon (missed opportunity for a Spyro crossover if you ask me, considering Activision Blizzard owns the IP). A 'mysterious phenomenon' has swept the land of Sanctuary, which in turn has led to new Lunar Shrines popping up all over the place, these special shrines will give you exclusive buffs for the event.

The event will be live on both the Seasonal and Eternal realms, so even if you're done with Diablo 4 Season 3 – Season of the Construct – you'll still be able to get in on the upcoming Lunar New Year event. Although the event is going to kick off a bit earlier than the actual Lunar New Year (which takes place this Saturday, February 10), with Lunar Awakening starting today, February 6.

There's going to be six Lunar-themed cosmetic rewards available during the event which you can unlock with your Seasonal and Eternal character, and your mount of course. Here's when you can jump into Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening.

Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event start time

The Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event start time is set for 6pm BST / 1pm EST / 10am PST later today according to Activision Blizzard, with the publisher confirming the time in a post on the Diablo 4 website. The Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event kicks off on Tuesday, February 6 and will run for the next two weeks until Tuesday, February 20.

Why Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's six week delay is a good thing qhiqquidrhidqrinvWhy Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's six week delay is a good thing

We're not expecting Diablo 4 downtime for the Lunar Awakening event, considering the previous seasonal event – the holiday-themed Midwinter Blight – didn't have any downtime, we can only assume this trend will continue going forward into Lunar Awakening.

Blizzard hasn't confirmed what time the Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening event will end exactly. However, looking at Midwinter Blight and the time it ended, we can assume that the Lunar Awakening event will come to an end at around 6pm BST / 1pm EST / 10am PST on Tuesday, February 20.
