Coronation Street residents finally find out what Lauren Bolton's secret is next week, and the truth about her "boyfriend" on the ITV soap.

The character has been acting oddly for weeks, clearly hiding something while discussing her secret lover. After former flame Max Turner moved on to new girlfriend Sabrina, Lauren was left a little lonely but soon claimed to the pair she had a secret man in her life.

Since then she's been making mystery visits somewhere, and going on apparent dates while all dressed up. But more suspiciously, she's had a sudden increase in cash, only to be out of money days later.

Next week the truth about her antics are revealed, as she finally spills the beans on who she's been having mystery calls with and where the money has been coming from. It all kicks off when she pushes ahead with her GCSEs after being tutored, as she decided to take her exams having left school.

She's gutted to realise how much it will cost for her to register, and she's further upset when the books she needs to study for her exam are out of the library, but she can't afford to purchase any copies. Bobby does his best to try and find some for her, as Lauren fears she won't succeed.

He's left embarrassed though amid his attraction to her, as a mystery admirer sends her a huge bouquet of flowers. It's clear the attention isn't wanted though as she soon gets a phone call from the person who sent them.

Later, Lauren is seen warning them off as she tells the person to leave her alone. A second phone call later in the week sees her tell the admirer that she doesn’t need their money and wants nothing more to do with them.

With money issues continuing, Lauren is forced to act - only to be interrupted by Max and Sabrina. As they walk in on her dressed in sexy clothing, she's forced to confess there is no boyfriend, more a subscriber, and that she's been filming saucy videos for adult content site O-Vidz.
