Doja Cat left fans stunned as she stepped on the Grammy Awards red carpet wearing a see-through dress and showing several tattoos on her body, including one on her forehead.

The "Paint The Town Red" singer, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, looked amazing in a champagne-coloured gown made for her by Turkish-British fashion designer, Dilara Findikoglu. She even had a tattoo of the designer's name on her forehead, which made some people confused.

The 28-year-old's strapless corseted bodice featured a ruffled trim along the neckline and the skirt had draping details that showed her multiple tattoos. The gown also had a floor-grazing train, paired with cherry-red platform heels.

The dramatic look was completed with pendant necklaces and earrings, as well as glittering rings and black eyeglasses. It is believed the tattoos are temporary as the artist posted a photo on Instagram on Friday that did not show any of the designs she sported on her chest and on her forehead.

But after she debuted her new look, fans of the rapping sensation were quick to voice their opinions on social media platform X. "THESE TATTOOS? DOJA CAT IS COMING TO TAKE THAT GRAMMY," gushed one who clearly liked the new ink. Another was clearly confused when they asked: "I haven’t followed Doja Cat in a while are all those tattoos new or are they fake?"

"The tattoos are a good look for Doja Cat," added someone else, while a fourth person wrote: "I hope those tattoos on Doja Cat are fake…" Another then said: "Since when does Doja Cat has all those tattoos?" While someone else added: "THE TATTOOS?!?? A SERVE OMGG."

The tattoos included an eye-catching Gothic cathedral chest piece, and various other ornate pieces over her body, including her real tattooed Gothic-style keys on her upper arm. Last year, Doja Cat spoke to Harper's Bazaar about facing critics over her fashion choices.

She said: "My theory is that if someone has never met me in real life, then, subconsciously, I'm not real to them. So when people become engaged with someone they don't even know on the internet, they kind of take ownership over that person. They think that person belongs to them in some sense. And when that person changes drastically, there is a shock response that is almost uncontrollable."

The singer added: "I've accepted that that's what happens. So I put my wigs on and take them off, I shave my head or my eyebrows. I have all the freedom in the world." And her stylist Brett Alan Nelson told Variety: "The cool thing is when I met her, she had never worked with a stylist before.

"You know, she did a couple videos before me where there were people helping her out, but I was really the first person that she allowed to kind of come in and be a part of her world. She’s down to play. She obviously is very opinionated about the way that she looks, but she also puts a lot of trust in me and lets me do my thing on top of being collaborative with her."
