Queen Camilla has made a seamless transition into her new role within the Royal Family - and has proved she can "run the show", according to a body language expert.

Expert Darren Stanton analysed Camilla's latest solo appearance at Windsor Castle and concluded that the 76-year-old displays telling gestures that show she is not afraid to be "front and centre". She also displays "high levels" of confidence and can "run the show" on her own.

Mr Stanton also claimed the 76-year-old shares many similarities with Queen Elizabeth II, making her fit to take on the late Queen's mantle. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Mr Stanton said: “Camilla always displays high levels of self assurance. We don't see any signs of pacing gestures and her arms are never interlinked in front of her. Instead, she always has open palm gestures when she’s talking to people, which is a sign of trust and openness.

"These are all signals that she's confident in her own skin and comfortable in the environment. Eye contact, posture, and the way she engages with people are all signs that denote confidence within Camilla. During the event, she didn’t display any signs of not lacking confidence or appearing unsure in herself. From the way other people reciprocated with her, it’s clear Camilla is a very good communicator."

As well as Camilla's levels of confidence, the expert also shedded light on how the royal has ‘gravitated towards the role of Queen so effortlessly’. And while it remains unknown whether Camilla has spent time behind the scenes trying to model herself after the former Queen, Mr Stinton says the parallels between the two can be seen in Camilla's posture and mannerisms.

Speaking of the ways in which Camilla shares "similarities" with the late Queen Elizabeth, Mr Stanton said: “It’s amazing how similar Camilla is to the late Queen Elizabeth, in terms of the way she navigates around the room and speaks to people. First of all, with her posture, she’s very symmetrical and very grounded in the way that she stands. I’ve looked at comparisons between her and the Queen at a similar age, and their postures are so similar.

"Not that Camilla has modelled herself on the Queen, but the similarities are definitely there." Mr Stinton also noticed Camilla is exhibiting an innate skill of using the correct body language to develop a connection with whomever she's speaking to at events.

He added: “I’ve also noticed that when Camilla speaks to people, she bends down and lowers to their level. This is a gesture that’s often used when a person is going out their way to acknowledge someone else. Despite her position, Camilla isn’t averse to making this gesture as it creates greater rapport and a connection with the people with whom she’s speaking."
