Gladiators presenter Bradley Walsh found himself in a bit of a sticky situation with his co-host during this evening's instalment of the BBC show.

The Chase star made his son and co-presenter Barney Walsh cringe after making a cheeky comment about "swinging" just before the Hang Tough Challenge. Barney found himself pleading with his dad never to make a racy quip again following the banter between father and son.

Gladiators returned to our screens earlier tonight for the fourth episode of the BBC reboot of the classic game show, but at a slightly later time due to a schedule shake-up. The Six Nations clash between Wales and Scotland at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff was broadcasted on BBC One from 4pm until 7.10pm - meaning Gladiators was bumped back until 7.10pm.

As the Gladiators hosts introduced the Hang Tough Challenge, Barney wasn't too impressed when Bradley cheekily announced: "And now, it's time for a bit of swinging." Barney quickly asked his dad with a laugh, "Please, don't ever say that again."

The star, famous for his funny exchanges on The Chase, decided to pretend he didn't understand what Barney was on about. He casually responded, "I don't know what you're [talking about]. It's Hang Tough!". This isn't the first time the hilarious pair have made naughty comments on the revived BBC show. Earlier this month, Bradley had his turn at scolding Barney when he naughtily mentioned the word "tackles" while introducing a new game.

As they spoke about The Ring, one of their new games, Bradley said: "Thank you very much indeed, it's time for one of our new games - The Ring. The trick is to make it to the centre of the ring without getting tackled by the gladiators. Barney chimed in: "I'll tell you what, that is not easy because as we've seen, a lot of our gladiators have impressive tackles." Bradley quickly interjected: "Leave it," before adding "It's the ring."

Elsewhere on Gladiators this evening, viewers were delighted as one female contestant delivered an iconic reply to one of Bradley's pre-event questions. Contender Nia explained in her VT how she lost sight in her left eye at the age of 10-years-old - something that could have caused a disadvantaged during one of the challenges on the show.

Before Nia took on the Gladiators in a battle that required her to be quick on her feet but to also have good hand-eye co-ordination, Bradley then asked Nia: "How do you think you'll get on without having sight in your left eye?" Much to the delight of those watching at home, Nia quipped: "I'll be alright - I've brought up four kids."
