Chilling new details emerge in murder of dad beheaded by son & shown on YouTube
Police have revealed Justin Mohn bought a gun the day before he allegedly murdered his father and showed his decapitated head on YouTube.
In a major update today, police revealed Mohn used the gun to shoot his father in the head before cutting off his head and making the ranting video. They also revealed the 32-year-old son was arrested hours later about 100 miles away where he had broken into a state National Guard facility. He was armed with a 9 mm Sig Sauer handgun that was missing one round.
Speaking at a police press briefing, Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn revealed the latest details. The DA was joined by Middletown Township Police Chief Joseph Bartorilla, with the FBI also providing an update.
Mohn didn't have a diagnosed history of mental illness and purchased the 9mm handgun legally, surrendering a medical marijuana card beforehand so he could be eligible to buy the weapon.

Justin Mohn, left, on his YouTube video he made after beheading his dad, rightDA Schorn confirmed the victim of the brutal attack was 68-year-old Michael F Mohn who lived in the home with his wife and adult son and was a "federal employee with the Army Corps of Engineers". His white Totoya Corolla and his son Justin Mohn, 32, were missing from the home when police arrived.
She went on to say that "multiple calls were received by 911" with reports of a YouTube video in which Mohn filmed himself holding up the severed head of his father. Sharing details of the video, she said: "The video is a 14-minute and 34-second video of Justin Mohn where it is titled 'Mohn's Militia'. It's a call to arms for American patriots.

In the video, Justin Mohn is holding a human head detached from the body that is wrapped in plastic. Justin Mohn advised that the head is Mike Mohn's head.
"During the video, Justin Mohn advised that Mike Mohn is in hell for being a traitor to his country. During the video, Justin Mohn provides his identity and advises that he is the commander of America's national network of militia, also known as 'Mohn's Militia'.
District Attorney Jennifer Schorn gave an update on the case (NBC)"During the video, Justin Mohn advises that he is giving the following order for all militia and patriots across the USA to kill federal employees. He also ordered that individuals from the FBI, IRS and other federal law enforcement officers and for those who work at the courthouse to be arrested.
"That all federal agents, US marshals, judges and border patrol be captured and tortured for information and then publicly executed. Justin divulges the home address of a federal judge and puts a bounty on his head and heads of high ranking federal officials. He demands violence against all federal employees, but exempts state government, state governors and state employees."
Justin Mohn held up his father's severed head in a disturbing YouTube video (Fox 29)In an attempt to track down Mohn, his phone was pinged and located at a National Guard training center where Mohn had driven the Toyota past the barricades before getting out and climbing a barbed wire fence to enter the "secured military installation".
Mohn told cops he had gone to the military installation "in an effort to mobilise the PA National Guard to raise arms against the federal government" said DA Schorn. Adding: "He also indicated he wanted to speak to Governor Shapiro to join forces."

Mohn believed he was the 'Second Coming King of Earth' and wrote a book called 'The Second Messiah' (Amazon)DA Schorn confirmed an autopsy had been carried out on Michael Mohn on Thursday. She explained: "It was determined that Michael Mohn suffered a gunshot wound to his head and then was subsequently dismembered and that the mechanism was the use a knife to sever limbs and tendons and then ultimately a machete to sever his spinal column."
More details were also revealed about Justin Mohn, with DA Schorn saying the Penn State graduate had lived and worked in Colorado. He worked for "a contractor for Microsoft Corp" but was currently unemployed. She added he had no history of mental health issues. "It was evident to us that he was of clear mind in his purpose and what he was doing, aside from what his beliefs are," DA Schorn said. She said it was clear he was "proud of his actions” after committing the evil act on his own father.

Officials revealed new details in the chilling and gruesome case (NBC)However, officials didn't respond to questions about the calls made by neighbours concerning Mr Mohn's behaviour.
In the press meeting, it was revealed that Mr Mohn's old boss tried to warn the local police about his unpredictable behaviour last year. Middletown Township Police Chief Joe Bartorilla stated that the police force couldn't start an investigation because the employer was "seeking legal advice" on how to sack Mr Mohn.
Chief Bartorilla said: "Me and our entire police department, our hearts ache for the Mohn family." Adding that police had met with the family and "would be with them every step of the way through this incredible ordeal they're going through."
He explained the family was "well known" and had a lot of "close friends and neighbours who really cared about them".
The alleged killer previously ranted about choosing between freedom and family (Facebook)Mohn was arrested late Tuesday at Fort Indiantown Gap. His mother. Denice Mohn, discovered her husband body in the Levittown home where the three lived together and went to a neighbour's house to ask them to call police, Schorn said. Police then found the dad's head in a kitchen pot in a first floor bedroom, with a bullet wound.
The YouTube video, which was taken down by YouTube after several hours, included rants about the government, a theme he also embraced with violent rhetoric in writings published online going back several years. He picks up his father's head and identifies him.
Police said it appeared he was reading from a script as he encouraged violence against government officials and called his father a 20-year federal employee and a traitor. He also espoused a variety of conspiracy theories and rants about the Biden administration, immigration and the border, fiscal policy, urban crime and the war in Ukraine.
Officials discussed the video at today's briefing, saying they shocked that it stayed online for six hours and got seen over 5,000 times before it was removed. In the video, titled "Mohn's militia, a call of arms for American Patriots," Mr Mohn is seen angrily talking about the government, Black Lives Matter, and LGBTQ+ folks, and he tells people to "kill federal employees."
Mr Mohn said he was the boss of "America's network of militia" and told "all members of militia" to hurt IRS, FBI, courthouse, Border Patrol, and US Marshals workers to get info and then execute them in public. He also shared private details about a local judge and offered money for anyone who could get to the judge.
"He demands violence against all federal employees but exempts state governors and state employees," Ms Schorn explained.
Schorn said authorities took possession of the video but expressed concern over the hours that it remained online. "It's quite horrifying how many views we understand it had before it was taken down," she said.
Police say they found bloody rubber gloves in a bedroom on the second floor. . Denice Mohn said her husband’s white Toyota Corolla and her son were both missing.
