Alison Hammond dropped huge Great British Bake Off news on Friday's episode of This Morning.

Alison, 48, who joined the iconic baking show as a host in 2023, revealed that Dermot O'Leary will be joining the 2024 line-up for The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C (Stand Up To Cancer). It comes as Mel B was announced as the first star joining the star-studded spin-off show earlier this morning on Good Morning Britain.

Alison said: "Breaking news! We've got some Bake Off news, Dermot O'Leary is going to be appearing on SU2C Bake Off!" Dermot, 50, was then asked about his "signature bake" to which he admitted: "I'm not allowed to say anything! All I'll say is it's a lovely warm atmosphere, the ovens are on and suddenly someone comes in and turns that dial up, sunshine enters the tent, I wonder who that person could be! It's you, Alison Hammond."

A giggling Alison then revealed: "You know when he says: 'I can't say anything', he literally told everybody everything... I'm like: 'Babes, you can't tell anyone!' and he literally told everybody." Giving a teaser, Dermot said there were no "soggy bottoms" during his bakes on the show.

Richard added that Spice Girls star Mel B, 48, will be joining 19 other celebrities on the show this spring and the rest of the line-up will be announced in "due course". The presenter then asked guest host, Robert Rinder, about his time in the famous tent after he appeared on Celebrity Bake Off back in 2020. Robert, 45, quipped: "I was the worst they ever had!" Meanwhile, co-host Charlotte Hawkins said of Mel B entering the tent: "She'll be brilliant, she'll be great fun!"

Each week sees four celebs go head to head over two days in which they tackle signature, technical and showstopper challenges in a bid to be named Star Baker, while also raising funds for cancer research.
