Jameela Jamil has shared her "excruciating regret" following the death of her friend Isabelle Thomas.

Isabelle was married to film producer Bradley Thomas, known most recently for his work on Killers of the Flower Moon. She is reported to have plunged to her death after jumping from a balcony at the Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles on Monday. Police sources have said she was found dead at the scene when first responders arrived.

Following the tragic news, Jameela, 37, took to her Instagram page to remind followers to "put loved ones first" and avoid the "excruciating regret" she's been feeling. The actress revealed she was meant to meet up with Isabelle a few weeks prior but couldn't due to work. "I was supposed to see her a few weeks ago and couldn't because I was busy with stupid f**king work," she wrote over a black canvas. "I missed the chance to tell her I love her. And to hold her one last time.

"This is a reminder to put loved ones first so you never have the excruciating regret that I have right now. F**k work. F**k the nonsense. Call your loved ones."

She captioned the post: "I lost a friend very suddenly this week. Don't wait til later. Don't presume you can just grow old together. Don't presume the world is fair or makes sense. Don't take anyone or anything you love for granted for a minute. My heart is completely and utterly broken and I don't think I will ever recover."

Fans rushed to the comment section to offer words of support for the grieving actress. One user posted: "I’m so sorry Jameela. Please take care of yourself while you grieve - you're a wonderful person and I'm sure your friend knew how much you cared about them, whether you saw them one last time or not. Much love."

"Thank you for this reminder. Your heart is so big I know it’s hurting right now and all of us who you constantly show up for help are sending you healing hugs and so much love," model Iskra Lawrence commented.

It was recently been reported that Isabelle did not leave a suicide note. The Medical Examiner's Office listed her death as a suicide and the official cause is given as multiple traumatic injuries, which is consistent with a major fall. Isabelle and her husband Bradley married in 2018 and share two young children together. The couple were pictured attending the 2024 BAFTA Tea Party at The Maybourne Beverly Hills just weeks before Isabelle's death.
