Love Island fans want answers as Chris cracks on with Joanna despite 'history'
Love Island viewers were asking "what is going on?" as Chris Taylor and Joanna Chimonides shared an interest in each other on the ITV2 series.
Following bombshell Joanna's arrival, Chris made it clear he could be won over by her and on Thursday, the pair had a chat. As they got flirty ahead of the next recoupling, Joanna admitted she had her eye on him, while he too shared his hopes of getting to know her better.
But as the pair got chatting, fans were very confused. Fans recalled that Joanna had actually been on Chris' series of the show, and at the time she was partnered up with Michael Griffiths.
The pair remained as a pair until Joanna was dumped from the villa, and Michael stayed behind. Joanna was left feeling awkward by his reaction to her exit, and things did not work out for them with the romance not lasting outside of the show.
Chris actually arrived in the villa after Joanna had already left, meaning they were not on the show together. That said, Chris is close friends with Michael, so fans have a lot of questions regarding the possible new romance.

Many also added it was a bit awkward for them to possibly date, if things work out, given her history with Michael.
That said, Michael and Joanna were never an official item and did not 'date' for very long. While Chris would have heard of Joanna, her 'split' from Michael could have meant they never actually met.
That didn't stop viewers from finding it all a bit weird though, wanting answers and for someone to bring up Michael. Taking to X, one viewer said: "Isn’t Chris and Michael bffs? He’s going for Joanna???" as another said: "Chris Chris Chris, you’re bestfriends with Michael what is going on."
A third fan posted: "Catching up on #LoveIsland, are chris and Michael still friends?? Why is he going after Michael’s ex?" as a fourth wrote: "Wasn't joanna on chris' season... with chris' close friend michael????" Another commented: "Wait aren’t Chris and Michael friends also? What’s he gonna think about Chris wanting to crack on with Joanna?" as a further comment read: "sorry, isn’t joanna michael’s ex… the michael chris lives with ?? why is he acting like they don’t know eachother i’m confused."

Joanna was the latest bombshell to enter the villa with fellow newcomer Casey O'Gorman on the All Stars series, after four Islanders were dumped from the island.
But fans spotted something about the way Georgia reacted to Joanna's arrival that sparked feud rumours. Not only that, but many fans watching at home then remembered the pair are meant to be best pals, often in videos and Instagram posts together.
Amid friends of the girls admitting the pair may not be on talking terms at the moment, fans were quick to notice the frosty atmosphere between them. Then, as Joanna got to know the existing Islanders, it was quite noticeable that Georgia was not sat with her and didn't seem to be excited to see her close pal.
Not only that, but they were not seen talking to each other at all throughout the episode despite knowing each other. While some fans questioned if it was the editing and maybe they did not show it, viewers were sure there was more to it. Many guessed that the pair would end up discussing their possible feud on the show, sure there was a story there.
