Britney Spears hits out at Justin Timberlake and says he should 'go home crying'
Britney Spears seems to have lashed out at her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake after he refused to apologise for the way he treated her during their relationship.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Britney shared a picture of a basketball hoop with the moon shining behind it. "Someone told me someone was talking s**t about me on the streets !!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I'm not sorry !!!" she wrote in the caption.
Britney seemed to be referencing Justin's comment on Wednesday night as he said he has nobody he needs to apologise to. During a performance at Irving Plaza, he was filmed telling the crowd: "I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise to absolutely f***ing nobody."

Fans who attended the show took to social media to claim he made the harsh comment before singing his infamous break-up song about his relationship with Britney, Cry Me A River. It's safe to say Britney's fans weren't happy.
Alyssa Milano 'apologises to Britney' as she's called out for 'bullying' tweet"Justin Timberlake is an a**hole," one person wrote on X. Another agreed: "CONFIRMED: Justin Timberlake is still a misogynistic piece of f***ing s**t. I don't understand how y'all think this is 'cool' to publicly attack a woman for 20 years."
Some were angry that Justin had publicly dissed Britney, even after she issued a heartfelt apology to him. " don't know why Britney apologised for anything. She just told what had happened at that time in their relationship in her book, there was no need to take it back, then to compliment his new song, and he reacts this way," one person fumed.
Before Justin's comments, Britney had issued an apology to her ex-boyfriend. In a lengthy Instagram post, she said: "I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book.
"If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry… I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake's new song 'Selfish' It is so good."
In Britney's memoir, The Woman In Me, she alleged Justin encouraged her to have an abortion during their relationship as he told her he wasn't ready to be a dad. Britney also accused Justin of cheating on her and breaking up with her over text.
