Lizzie Cundy left her fans in hysterics after she shared a hilarious social media video.

The 55-year-old TV presenter and socialite took to her Instagram on Wednesday to show the baffling moment she was dragged by her feet across the floor of a salon by two of her hairdressers after a hair treatment. Lizzie awkwardly attempted to pin her arms to her sides while lying still on the floor and dressed in a figure-hugging black lace top and leather skirt.

Some of her followers were left amused by the antics. One person wrote: "Brilliant, I smiled at this." Another person chimed in: "Guilty as charrrrged" (laughing emoji). Another fan complimented her new do and said: "Lizzie you look stunning in the end. Hair is amazing after hair stylist as finished. Gorgeous and flawless I'd give you a 11/10 score."

The clip was originally shared by celebrity hairstylist Kerry-Ann Buckell on her Instagram. She wrote: "POV: You touch your hair before the stylist is finished with it." Adding another caption to the video, she penned: Nobody touches their hair until it's finished, not even @lizziecundy. Always a pleasure having Lizzie in the salon with us! Thankfully, Lizzie wasn't fazed at all by the incident and was impressed by her new hair. She later revealed the results of her makeover, after her stylist added blonde highlights to her brunette locks. "Stunning new dreamy balayage colour," she said.

Earlier this month, Lizzie admitted being left shaken after thieves attempted to gain access to her home. She said: "After a lovely dinner with a friend, I was taking a bath and heard a huge bang and noise downstairs. Someone sounded like they were trying to get in my house... Luckily a passing farmer saw someone lurking around and thought it was suspicious and called the police immediately.

"Thankfully the police came around in minutes to my home but the 2 men drove off into my fence with such speed they overturned their car as you can see from the photo above. They then ran off into the night and the police couldn't catch them.

"I just want to say a huge thank you to Hampshire Police who came over so quickly and stayed with me. The police were amazing. This is happening way too often, especially in rural areas. We all need to look after each other. Thankfully someone did for me. If anyone knows anything please contact Hampshire Police. I'm feeling very blessed today I wasn't hurt or anyone else, keep safe."
