Love Island's Liberty Poole reveals what she thought about seeing ex Jake Cornish in villa

Love Island All Stars' Liberty Poole and Mitch Taylor were the latest stars to get dumped from the South African villa.

On Tuesday night's episode of the ITV2 programme, host Maya Jama returned to announce whose time on the show was up. Liberty and Mitch, who were coupled up but weren't seeing eye-to-eye, were chosen as one of the couples to be axed from the dramatic series as they had the least votes.

Maya asked the stars to gather around the fire pit and told Mitch and Liberty they were the least-voted couple. She revealed: "Liberty and Mitch as you are the least favourite couple, your time on All Stars is now over. Please leave immediately." She then told the others: "Two more islanders will leave and that decision is down to you," as she faced the cast without revealing who faced the chop.

In her first interview after the dumping, the 24-year-old Birmingham star confessed she was 'shocked' seeing her ex-boyfriend Jake Cornish in the villa.

Fans opted to couple Jake up with Liberty in the first episode but it wasn't long before Jake made the decision to leave the show as it 'wasn't the right time for him to find love.' Liberty revealed: "It was a shock to see Jake. I certainly didn't expect it but it actually was good to see him."

Speaking to The Sun, she added: "It was nice to see how he's grown. He's matured so much. I think we can now be friends. I'm really glad he came back in and we have had the closure we needed." Liberty and Mitch's exit from the villa comes as the couple called it quits, with Mitch keen to pursue Georgia Harrison instead after weeks of leaving Liberty in tears.

They were on and off ever since they formed a connection in week one. However, it didn't stop Mitch from attempting to woo other girls despite telling Lib she was his number one. They managed to sort things out during a conversation but, in a recent episode, she told him she deserved better.

The two were civil with each other but things got dramatic when Mitch pied Liberty during a challenge. After whacking the pie into her face, he said: "I’ve pied this girl because, over the last week, I’ve had nothing but stress." Liberty quipped back: "It's called boundaries," before calling him out on his behaviour.

After returning the favour, she told Mitch and the others that she had nothing else to say to him, but hoped he treated Georgia better than he did her. She also told him he had the emotional maturity of a two-year-old while commenting on how he had made her feel in recent days.
