Josie Gibson sparks concern with post about 'disrespect' amid This Morning break

Josie Gibson shared a cryptic post about drama and respect before removing the mysterious message amid speculation she is set to quit This Morning.

The cryptic post shared on Tuesday, in which Josie spoke about choosing "calm over conflict" and making peace a priority, was quickly removed from her Instagram Stories shortly after being shared with the TV presenter's 702,000 followers.

The I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! 2023 star - who recently denied she was planning to leave the This Morning team - didn't add any context to why she posted the quote, which read: "The older you get the more you choose calm over conflict and distance over disrespect. Drama becomes intolerant to you and your peace becomes your ultimate priority. You start surrounding yourself with people who are good for your mental health, heart and soul."

Josie's mysterious post-and-delete comes as the mum-of-one enjoys a break from co-hosting This Morning. The long-running ITV programme has had a variety of hosts recently, including Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary, Rylan Clark and Rochelle Humes, following the departure of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield last year.

Josie stepped down from presenting duties on 18 January, making way for new host Sian Welby. She informed followers through an Instagram post, saying: "My last day with @dermotoleary tomorrow before @alisonhammond55 returns Friday." Then @sianwelby takes the @thismorning reins next week. What an amazing group of ladies to share the sofa with!!!!! @dermotoleary thank you for being my rock this week. You've been a complete star."

However, Josie then had to reassure fans that she wasn't leaving the show after her 'last day' post. She returned to Instagram a few days later to issue a message to her fans, saying: "Alreeet lovers. Just to confirm, I have not left @thismorning I keep getting asked why I've left, so I thought it's easier to clear up the rumour mill on here." She added: "I am eternally grateful for all your love and support and I can not thank you enough. JG #squashingrumours."

Josie is currently a firm favourite to become a permanent presenter on This Morning, as TV bosses continue to search for replacements for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who both quit the ITV show last year. However, many are said to be "angry" Josie hasn't officially been offered the role yet.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Josie is one of the most positive people on the show, and has been a real support for others. Many are angry that she hasn’t been given the job, after all the graft she’s put in for the show. But if she’s annoyed about it, she hasn’t let it show. She’s a professional and in public, it is very much a case of, ‘Keep calm and carry on.’"
