Arsenal earned a vital victory away at Nottingham Forest with goals from Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka helped Mikel Arteta's men to a 2-1 win.

The Gunners have a miserable record at the City Ground in recent years and saw their title hopes officially ended their last term. However, they managed to put some of those demands to bed on Tuesday night and continued to apply pressure on league-leaders Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's men currently sit two points ahead of Arsenal and have played one game less, with their home tie against Chelsea on Wednesday night now officially a 'must-win' for the Reds.

The January transfer window is almost over and the Gunners are yet to make any new signings. With that being said, here are all of the transfer talking points emerging out of the Emirates on Wednesday, January 31.

Arteta bemoans squad depth

Despite not signing anyone this month, the Arsenal boss has still publicly vented his frustration at the Gunners' depth. Speaking during his pre-Forest presser, the Spaniard claimed: "We have one of the thinnest squads in the League, that's for sure, and when you talk about the numbers, especially in certain areas, we are really thin.

"It wasn't possible [to do any January deals]. And now we didn't have the capacity to improve the team in the way that we think we want to improve it, so we decided not to do something yet.

David addresses Arsenal links

Arsenal have been linked with a new striker all month and Lille talisman Jonathan David is no stranger to speculation touting him with a move to north London.

This window the likes of Chelsea, Napoli, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid have all at one time reported to have been interested in the 24-year-old, while the Gunners, as per usual, have also been linked.

David has since addressed the rumours, telling Telefoot: "When you’re young, these are the clubs you watch and think about. It’s flattering, I appreciate that."

The Ligue 1 goal-getter is contracted to Lille until the summer of 2025, meaning this summer presents the club's last realistic chance to cash in on the Canada international.

Cedric exit imminent

Arsenal right-back Cedric Soares is on the verge of joining Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to the Evening Standard. The former Southampton defender has found first-team football incredibly hard to come by at the Emirates in recent months. He has featured just twice so far this term, with neither of those outings coming in the Premier League.

The report states that the Gunners could receive a 'nominal transfer fee' and that Cedric is being offered a two-and-a-half-year deal by the Turkish club. The full-back's current Arsenal deal is due to expire at the end of the season.
