While most EuroMillions winners can't claim their money quick enough, one lucky individual is yet come forward to collect an enormous £1million prize

The National Lottery is currently searching across the country to find the individual, who is sitting on the winning ticket. The EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker is renowned for creating a millionaire in every single draw, but their champion for January 16, 2024, hasn't claimed their prize.

The organisation has asked every player in the Shropshire District to triple-check their tickets, in the hope that they've somehow missed the fact that they're on the fringe of becoming a millionaire. However, time is running out, as the unknown player only has until July 14 to collect their prize, or risk losing it forever.

If this individual has lost their ticket, they can still make an online claim within 30 days of the draw. Every EuroMillions Millionaire Maker ticket has a code printed on it. The winning code for January 16, 2024, was XFKD 58687. Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, Andy Carter, said, “If you bought a EuroMillions ticket in the Shropshire District for the draw on January 16, it’s time to look everywhere - in the pockets of clothes you might have been wearing at the time, bags, in the car, wallets and purses and in that sideboard or drawer where we all tend to put bits and pieces - and check your tickets."

He continued: “Do you live or work in this area, do you have family and friends there who you were visiting or were you just passing through? We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and pay out their life-changing prize - imagine the possibilities for them! We have the champagne on ice, and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”

Those wanting to buy tickets can do so in-store or online by downloading the National Lottery app or visiting national-lottery.co.uk. If you purchase a virtual ticket, you will receive an email notification if you've won a prize. There is also an option to scan retail tickets.

In this instance, if the victorious player fails to collect their winnings, the prize money and any interest generated will go towards the National Lottery-funded projects across the UK, which funds a plethora of projects, both big and small. In total, players generate an enormous £30 million a week, with over £48BN raised overall.

Anyone who is under the impression that they have a winning ticket or has any queries, in general, can contact the National Lottery Line at 0333 234 5050 or email [email protected]. In addition, those concerned about lost or unchecked tickets are advised to set up a National Lottery Direct Debit or start playing online. Here, they can enter their numbers in advance and will receive a notification if they secure the win. For further assistance, players can call 0333 234 4433 or visit www.national-lottery.co.uk

Individuals wanting to contact Camelot can do so by ringing the National Lottery line during its operating hours. Alternatively, if they'd rather engage in an online conversation, they can write an email to [email protected] to inform them that they intend to claim a prize. This must be done by midnight of the 180-day claim period. Further details are available via the Game Rules and Procedures.

Due to its license, Camelot is within its rights to pay prizes in respect of stolen, lost or destroyed National Lottery tickets, only on the condition that the claim has been made within 30 days of the draw. If a player fails to provide the requisite evidence, the company has the authority to investigate and consider the validity of the claim. Subsequently, the business will then dictate whether they deem the claim to be valid and are willing to pay the winnings within 180 days.
