Bradley Walsh had to stop an episode of The Chase to send a message to one of the contestant's parents.

The TV presenter, 63, was chatting with contestant Corinne, a retired 66-year-old who looks after her 95-year-old mum, Audrey. When asked if Audrey watches the show, Corinne said: "No," and added: "She's old school. she never watches ITV. As a kid, I wasn't allowed to. But she did say she'd watch me if I came on."

Corinne then apologised to her mum, prompting Bradley to pause the show and address Audrey directly. He looked into the camera and said: "Audrey, come on. You've got to watch a bit of commercial telly. You need something to break the programme up." The episode didn't start well for the team when Morgan chose the high offer of £30,000 but was caught by chaser Anne Hegarty before he could make it back.

Corinne managed to earn £5,000 in the first round of the game show and successfully outran the chaser, adding some much-needed funds to the team's bank. Next up was 36-year-old Hannah, a career coach who hoped to take her daughter to Disneyland Paris with any winnings. She chose the low offer of £1,000 and secured her spot in the final chase.

The last contestant to face Anne was Zahir, a 51-year-old who could have increased the team's total to £11,000, but unfortunately, he was caught at the last moment. In the final chase, Corinne and Hannah scored 12 points. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to beat The Governess, who caught them with time to spare.

In a recent episode, Bradley also halted the show so he could help a contestant 'rig the game'. Things got tense when it was contestant Max's turn to play against Chaser Jenny Ryan. After only managing to win £1,000 in his cash builder, he bravely chose to go for the high offer of £60,000.

This shocked everyone so much that Bradley stopped the show to 'rig the game'. He escorted Max off the stage, put his arm around him and asked: "Listen I like you a lot. I think you've got a lot of potential. Are you sure about this?" Max replied: "Yeah why not," before Bradley brought him back to the table.

Murmuring, he teased: "At the desk when I bang once, it's A, twice it's B and three times it's C. Don't forget it, six grand is mine. 10% good luck." Bradley's joke made the entire team chuckle - even The Vixen gave a small smile. However, it didn't work out for Max as he was caught by The Chaser in his cash-builder.
