Khloe Kardashian explains how she 'stays strong' after Tristan drug scandal

Khloe Kardashian has revealed how she stays strong after the father of her children was suspended from the NBA for 25 games after violating the league's strict anti-drug policy.

Last week, it was revealed that Tristan Thompson tested positive for the banned substances ibutamoren and SARM LGD-4033, which are used as performance enhancers. The scandal led the Cleveland Cavaliers player to be suspended without pay and came after Tristan hit the headlines for cheating on his ex-girlfriend Khloe.

The 39-year-old socialite and model has not addressed the issues publicl,y but during a Q&A session on Snapchat at the weekend, she revealed she hits the gym to cope with stress. The Kardashians star said: "Working out is my therapy. For me, it's the best way to cope with stress. It keeps me focused. It keeps me strong physically and mentally."

After Tristan's drug scandal was revealed, one expert suggested Khloe is unlikely to address it publicly as she is hoping it will "eventually fizzle out". Relationship expert Louella Alderson told The Mirror: "It's unlikely that Khloe Kardashian will publicly speak about Tristan Thompson's alleged involvement in a drugs scandal. The Kardashian family is known for trying to keep scandals as private as they can.

"Tristan's drug scandal has been made public, but it hasn't received a huge amount of media attention, and it's likely that Khloe wants to keep it that way. If she comments on this, she will only bring more attention to it. However, she might be hoping that if she publicly ignores it, the story will eventually fizzle out."

Throughout his romance with Khloe, Tristan has been caught up in cheating scandals. When Khloe was pregnant with their first child, he was caught kissing a woman at a bar. He also kissed Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods.

While Khloe and Tristan moved passed the scandals, the drama wasn't over. Tristan fathered a child with another woman behind Khloe's back, leading to the end of their romance.

The couple has since worked on co-parenting their two children - True and Tatum. Louella told us Tristan's latest scandal is unlikely to affect their parenting. "Khloe has forgiven Tristan for cheating on her while pregnant, so given this drug scandal does not affect her directly, it may not have a significant impact on their co-parenting relationship. She has always put their kids first and maintains a good relationship with Tristan for their sake," the expert explained.

She added: "However, it's likely that Khloe and Tristan have had discussions about the situation privately and are handling it within their co-parenting relationship. If this is the case, they may have already come to a resolution or plan for how to address the scandal with their children in the future if necessary.

"Tristan's use of performance-enhancing drugs could also potentially affect their kids if it creates an unstable environment for them. Khloe will likely put her children's well-being first and do her best to ensure they aren’t exposed to any harmful situations."

Over the weekend, Khloe shared a rare video clip of her 18-month-old son Tatum. It shows the baby bonding with the family's grey cat, which has bright blue eyes. It is thought the feline belongs to the famous family, but – in true Kardashians fashion – its name seems to remain a mystery.

"Saturday Sibling Snuggles and a video of the most patient cat ever!!! Grey kitty is the sweetest," Khloe captioned the sweet moment. In the video, the 38-year-old tells the youngster to be gentle as he says "kitty" before saying a cute "hi" to the small pet.

Other pictures show Tatum hugging his five-year-old sister True. Khloe made sure to brand up the post, tagging sister Kim Kardashian's clothing brand Skims as the creator of True's pyjamas, and tagging brand ZipNBear for baby Tatum's.

Fans flocked to the post's comments section, thanking Khloe for sharing such a sweet moment, a rare look into their low-key family time. "He's very good with the cat. She’s a good girl," wrote one user, while another said: "Grey kitty is literally the cutest her eyes."
