S Club singer Hannah Spearritt has broken her silence following her Dancing On Ice exit on Sunday.

The singer and actress, 42, was the second celebrity to be eliminated from the ITV skating competition on Sunday (January 28) after boxer Ricky Hatton became the first to go. Following her exit, Hannah has now gushed over her professional partner, Andy Buchanan, in a new video posted on Dancing On Ice's official Instagram page.

"The experience on a whole has been absolutely amazing," Hannah gushed. And obviously being partnered with you has been so incredible. You've been the best teacher and you've pushed me out of my comfort zone when you've needed to. I'm so grateful to have learned this skill. Never in a million years would I of had a chance be be taught. I think skating for me is something that you do need to be taught."

To which Andy replied: "This is the hardest show on television and I'm just so proud of you. Every week for you, you overcame so much. You should be really proud of yourself." Holding back tears, Hannah continued: "Obviously I'm disappointed but the level was so, so, high and I'm just excited to see the journey that everyone else is going to go on now. It's been such an amazing team. I'm going to miss it."

"Ooooh Hannah's absolutely fuming," another echoed. "She's trying her best to hold back angry tears, bless her," another ITV viewer pointed out. While someone else suggested: "I don't think she saw this coming and that's why she looks so put out and angry."

Before she was eliminated from the 2024 series, Hannah had tearfully revealed that dancing to Frozen's Let It Go holds a special meaning to her as that was her daughter's favourite movie while recovering in hospital. The former S Club 7 singer, revealed the news during a clip of her in rehearsals sat next to her skating professional partner.

When she found out that she was playing Elsa in the family favourite film, she attempted to hold back tears as she revealed why that particular song resonated with her. Hannah said: "Last Christmas my youngest daughter, she had an accident and while she was in hospital she watched Frozen, like over and over again. So for her to see me as Elsa, it would be super magical."

In an exclusive chat with The Mirror, Hannah previously confessed that she felt like quitting the ITV show after feeling ill. The former pop star, who has suffered from an autoimmune condition since 2013, missed at least two rehearsal sessions just one week after a tooth infection triggered a relapse. She claimed that she felt so sick during some of her rehearsals, she ended up crying.

Hannah said: "I was so excited about joining Dancing On Ice. It was the perfect opportunity after the S Club 7 reunion didn’t work out, and I wanted to get back to something physical. As a mum, I don’t get much chance to exercise and I felt it was what my body needed after everything I went through last year."

"But three weeks into training, I lost half a tooth and – though I didn’t know it at the time – it caused an infection. Suddenly I was crying, ill, getting headaches, and I got illness after illness. Norovirus, flu… All I wanted to do was train, but I was just too ill. I was completely stressed because the show team were ringing me, asking if I would be able to train tomorrow and I wanted to say yes, but didn’t know how I’d feel."

She added: "It was out of my control, and I felt so guilty about letting everyone down – especially my skating partner Andy, who is lovely. I was worried I would have to pull out of the show, I was missing so much. Even my partner thought I wouldn’t return after Christmas because I was so ill. I was determined to go back, but I was skating around white as a sheet and sweating. Anyone could see I wasn’t right. One day, I felt so sick it was overwhelming. I had to come off the ice and just burst into tears."
