Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's popularity in the US is on the rise, despite family fallouts and controversy.

After their move to America, their popularity has been a bit of a rollercoaster, but it's currently on the up. Their popularity soared after their Netflix 2022 special, but then slowly declined. In January 2023, Harry's approval rating was at -7 and Meghan's was at -13 as fans got tired of hearing the same story. However, throughout 2023, they embarked on several new projects, with varying levels of success, and managed to claw their way back up.

They tried to use their Archewell Productions to team up with Spotify. But the result, a podcast called Archetypes, didn't go down well. Some reports suggested that they struggled to get interesting guests, while others said the problem was their work ethic.

When a Spotify executive labelled them as "grifters," their public image took another hit. Reports later emerged that, amid the Queen's failing health and eventual death, Harry asked President Biden to lend him Air Force 1 for a quick trip to the UK. This was seen by the public as a sign of self-entitlement.

Their charity work and advocacy efforts, including sponsoring and participating in Project Healthy Minds' second-annual World Mental Health Day Festival in New York, won them some respect. They even sat on a special panel, sharing their own experiences with mental health.

Harry's memoir, Spare, also helped to win over the public. It gave a deeper insight into his family life behind the scenes, adding to the story they had already shared during their interview with Oprah.

As the year ended, rumours started to circulate about what Meghan and Harry might do next. Some suggested Meghan might return to Hollywood or restart her blog, The Tig. Amidst this speculation, polls showed that their popularity was on the rise.

According to a poll by Redfield and Wilton for Newsweek, Harry scored +29 and Meghan +15. The same poll revealed that millennials were the generation who found the couple most favourable.
