Brad Pitt made headlines last week after doctors claimed the Hollywood actor had gone under the knife for a six-figure facelift.

Rumours spread after a TikTok went viral, suggesting the 60-year-old star's secret to his youthful looks was an operation costing more than £100,000. Dr Jonny Betteridge noted "significant" changes as he analysed two snaps of Brad, taken three years apart.

He appeared to get younger as the years went on, ironic of course given his starring role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button – a movie about a man who ages in reverse. Now experts tell The Mirror it's "clear" Brad has had surgery, revealing the "tell-tale signs".

In an exclusive sit down with us following Dr Betteridge's viral video, cosmetics expert Dr. Arun Narang weighed in on the debate, telling The Mirror he's "probably had a facelift", explaining the reasons behind his conclusion as he analysed the snaps himself.

"Comparing recent pictures of him with a picture a few years ago shows that he has fewer lines around his mouth and eyes than he did in the previous picture," Dr Narang says. "Facial lines don't just vanish and no amount of moisturizer can make them go away.

"The tell-tale sign is around the ear. Those who have facelifts will have a scar there because that is where the skin is pulled tighter. Pitt has that scar, which convinces me he has had work done. You can hide a surgery if you want to."

He continued: "Stars often go into a doctor's office incognito and hospitals serving celebrities will make extra efforts for their privacy. Doctors aren't allowed to discuss the health conditions of their patients so things typically aren't leaked to the press.

"A facelift like the one Brad Pitt would have had would take up to four weeks of recovery time so if a celebrity can stay to themselves for a month or so, they can have this type of surgery with no one knowing." The Mirror has contacted Brad's representatives for comment.

The actor consistently steps out barely looking a day older than when he first rose to fame in the '90s. Brad has never publicly admitted to going under to knife or having any tweakments "Brad truly looks after himself. He’s not trying to look younger, but looks the healthiest version of himself," the UK medical director of the New York Dermatology Group at the Harrods Wellness Clinic, Dr Costas Papageorgiou explained in 2020.

"Brad also appears to have protected his face and neck from the sun to preserve skin elasticity, inflammation and redness." The dermatology expert continued to muse how Brad seems to have shunned obvious plastic surgery or tweakments in order to retain his movie star looks, noting the actor's face boasts a "lack of botox or visible surgery".

But earlier last year, another beauty expert suspected Brad may have finally succumbed to the needle and had a few subtle tweakments following his 2016 split and subsequent divorce from actress Angelina Jolie, with whom he shares four children with.

"Brad appears to have very subtly invested in some ‘tweakments’ to retain a youthful appearance. He has reduced fine lines today and his skin is dewy and fresh. Therefore he may have has botox to reduce wrinkles and face peels will help to rejuvenate his skin," Laura Kay, cosmetics specialist and founder of Laura Kay London, told FEMAIL when discussing the Oscar Award-winning actor's youthful appearance.

"He could also have focused on certain areas including the neck, jowls and his hairline/hair that are very noticeable signs of ageing – and with a skilled practitioner people will hardly notice the difference, yet it will look transformative. He will also be prioritising a skincare regime with day and night cream to help hydrate the surface layers of the skin."
