If you long for perfectly boiled eggs but have never managed to perfect the craft, we have news for you.

Starting your day right with a healthy breakfast should be a priority for us all, and eggs are a go-to for many people as they provide a protein-filled way to get going before work or a day filled with chores. Almost everybody has a recipe or hack for cooking eggs that they swear by, whether that's fried, scrambled, poached, or the understated boiled egg.

One chef has posted a hack for making boiled eggs that they had previously had no idea about, "after 33 years of life". The chef shared her shock online and it's left others itching to try the trick.

The hack was posted on TikTok by Snejana - a Bulgarian-born and fully trained chef who goes by @themodernnonna on social media - where she has gained an impressive 1.4 million followers from her recipes and cooking hacks.

She said in the short video, "in the 33 years of my life, how has nobody told me that this is the best way to separate eggs?" She then demonstrated the hack, which involves inserting "a chef's knife in the middle of a hard-boiled egg and gently roll the egg for the perfect cut." The yolk of the egg then can be simply popped out, looking much like the round seed found in avocados.

Snejana called this one the "best hack ever, 12/10" and gave credit to another content creator, who she had seen post it before trying it out: @andrealanev, whose followers were seriously impressed with it. "My jaw dropped," commented one user, with another writing "My whole mind is blown".

This isn't the only top tip that Snejana has shared when it comes to creating the perfect boiled egg, she also showed her followers exactly how to make them so you can peel them really easily, without making any excess mess.

She explained in a different video, that if you gently crack your egg before hard boiling it and then afterward simply put the cooked egg into "ice cold water" inside a Tupperware box or similar container, then close the lid and give it a good shake - the eggs will basically peel themselves, ready to be added to any salad or sandwich you fancy.
