'Harry should be helping others instead of tearing his family apart'

Thousands of you will emphatically NOT be bagging a copy of Prince Harry's memoir - with one reader 'preferring a bout of toothache' over flicking through a 'ghost written book of childish pish'.

Another was annoyed at the Duke's 'poor me' attitude, saying: "With William and his children before him, there are a lot more spares before Harry gets a look in. Maybe that's what he's grumpy about. He's been sidelined. I have no wish to read his book and hear yet more moans. He made his bed, so lie in it!"

Readers were responding to our poll where we asked: 'Will you be reading Prince Harry's memoir?'

The explosive new autobiography Spare was released on Tuesday amid a blaze of controversy and hype.

And the eagerly anticipated 416-page memoir certainly made good on its promises of spicy revelations of life within the royal family.

As well as accusations of a physical fight with Prince William at Nottingham Cottage in 2019, there were also a slew of personal stories, including the Duke of Sussex's drug use, details of how he lost his virginity and how Harry had a frostbitten penis at William and Kate's wedding.

Our poll on the book also attracted a wealth of comments, ranging from utter apathy to outright anger.

'Not an ice cream's chance in hell'

Lobbydosser will not be reading it, saying: "No. I'd rather sit with toothache than read a ghost written book of childish pish."

Elana60 said: "NO NO NO. I have my own family dramas. Harry should be working and helping others instead of tearing his family apart".

Donotcare : "Not an ice cream's chance in hell."

Derailed : "Personally I wouldn't even use it as toilet paper, even if I was given a free copy, let alone read it."

Hema: "No I won’t. It’s a book version of the Facebook spats 'normal folk' have between their own families; airing their dirty laundry in public along with screenshots of a slanging match. Harry’s is a more posher version! It’s all to do with private matters between a family and I have enough drama of my own with mine! No thank you!"

The shadow : "Not a cat in hell's chance. I'm not interested in fiction stories and never read them. Would never try to line his pocket anyway if I did!"

Say it as it is : "With William and his children before him, there are a lot more spares before Harry gets a look in. Maybe that's what he's grumpy about. He's been sidelined. I have no wish to read his book and hear yet more moans. He made his bed, so lie in it!"

'Yes I'm reading it and it's amazing'

Debbsaye : "Yes most definitely. I have my copy and look forward to reading it."

Greatagain: "Yes. Dear Harry you have my full support. Don't worry, truth always wins!"

Zoe501111: "Yes I’m reading it and it’s amazing! It’s so refreshing that a senior member of the royal family is actually telling the truth for once. I do really hope Harry finds the peace he so rightfully deserves, and King Charles needs to be there for his second born son just as much as his first born."

Frankbevan007: "Already on it. Be rude not to at only £14."
