Experts give the best time to buy your wedding dress if you want to save money
From hiring a venue, to booking suppliers and budgeting for entertainment, there are a number of costs involved when organising a wedding, so you'll want your money to stretch as far as possible. If you're planning on wearing a wedding dress there are several ways you can save.
First up, you can spend less on your outfit by opting for a high street wedding dress, but if you still find yourself struggling to stay within budget, the bargain hunting experts from Bountti have revealed another way engaged couples can cut costs and it's all about timing.
Jason Higgs, senior deals strategist at Bountti, explained that January is a savvy time to shop for your wedding dress as you can take advantage of the January sales, saying, "bridal boutiques and designers often offer substantial discounts on last season's styles once the new year arrives, meaning you could purchase a high-quality dress within a more affordable price range. January is also a great time to find discounted accessories like veils, tiaras, and shoes."
Save money on your wedding dress
As peak engagement season is during December, bridal stores have taken note and in turn the first month of the year is prime wedding dress shopping time.

Generally, the most popular time to get married is during summer, so by shopping your wedding dress now, you'll have more than enough time for any deliveries and alterations to be made. If you're buying your gown from a brand that doesn't offer alterations, you'll need to factor in time to find and book a seamstress in if needed.
Shop new wedding dress collections
The first few weeks of the year also calls for new dress selections as many brands see January as a time to re-fresh old stock and make room for updated designs. Buying early also means there will be lots of time for alterations if they’re needed."
