Britney Spears has sparked concern from fans after filming herself bedridden with leg braces – but all is not as it seems.

The Toxic hitmaker shared a clip of her lying in bed as the 42-year-old documented her latest antics inside her $7million (£5.5million) home in Los Angeles, California. She's seemingly shifted away from her usual naked uploads for a bit of TLC, using a brand-new recovery method.

The leg braces were actually specialised compression equipment that's used to 'recharge' people's legs. The Therabody RecoveryAir device isn't exactly cheap and can range from anything between $599 to $1,299.

Britney took to her page to explain what she was doing with the device, telling followers: "I danced for five hours yesterday. I had no idea about this, I had a friend who told me about it actually bought it for me and I was like 'What the f**k is this s**t?'

"I would never ever buy this for myself. To whoever the genius who got this, thank you. It's absolutely lovely so it really does what it says it recovers your body and your legs when you've been on your feet for a long time."

Earlier this month, Britney bared all again after she shared a naked photo to her Instagram page while enjoying a day on the beach. The chart-topping star has gone nude while by the sea several times in the past and made no exception with her latest post.

Britney, 42, let it all hang out as she stood totally nude on the white sand with her bum facing the camera turning to the side to show off her sideboob with one arm strategically placed behind her head. The singer went makeup-free for the photo, wearing her long blonde hair down in her trademark crimped curls.

She captioned the photo: "Just landed in French Polynesia !!!" Britney's post hails her return to Instagram after another brief break from the social media platform. Her profile has now been made private with only those already following her able to see her posts.

The move comes after she teamed up with Snapchat to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her hit album Baby One More Time. The pop star, who released the chart-topping album a quarter of a century ago, is now offering fans a unique augmented reality experience.

The Britney Spears Merch Lens lets fans try on a new merchandise item, the Spears letterman jacket, while listening to Baby One More Time in the background. Fans can also recreate the iconic music video's shoulder shimmy with a different lens and add songs and remixes from the album into their Snaps.

Britney's deletion of her Instagram came after the star faced criticism for some of her posts, leaving fans worried. She even posted a video of herself dancing with knives, raising a flag about her safety. This comes after Britney posted a teaser on Twitter, hinting at something new coming soon. She confirmed this with her Snapchat announcement, writing: "Celebrate the 25th anniversary of my debut album, '...Baby One More Time,' with the new exclusive anniversary collection, available now."

Despite hopes for new music, Britney has previously stated she will not return to the music industry. Before deleting her Instagram, she wrote: "I will never return to the music industry !!! When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people !!! I've written over 20 songs for other people the past two years !!! I'm a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way."
