Chinese smartphone firm OnePlus is back with a new device that’s taking aim at Samsung’s Android crown. The all-new OnePlus 12 has just been unveiled with this call maker brimming with exciting features including one that you won’t find on the new Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Tucked under the shell of the OnePlus 12 is a massive fast-charging battery that can be refilled at a rapid rate thanks to 100W SUPERVOOC wired technology and impressive 50W AIRVOOC wireless boosting.

That should mean you can go from fully flat to totally full in under 30 minutes.

As an example of how much better that is, the new S24 Ultra can only muster 45W charging - that's around twice as slow as the new OnePlus 12.

Another bonus of buying this rival device is that the rapid charger comes in the box - Samsung fans have to pay extra if they want speedy refilling as no charger comes in the packaging of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Other features arriving from OnePlus include the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip from Qualcomm (that's the same clever processor inside the S24 Ultra), along with a new 2K 120Hz ProXDR display that's not only fast but also incredibly bright - it pushes right up to 4600nits.

Gamers will find this device keeps cool under pressure thanks to a Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System and there's also good news for budding photographers.

That's thanks to the OnePlus 12 packing a 4th Gen Hasselblad Camera for Mobile in its rear shell.

Oneplus is boasting that this snapper will deliver an effortless pro-graded camera experience from the phone in your pocket.

Now, let’s talk about the price. The Galaxy S24 Ultra starts from £1,249 but the OnePlus 12 can be yours for just £849 - that’s a whopping £400 less.

OnePlus 12 will go on sale on 6th February.
