Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom transform into aliens for romantic date night
Katy Perry and fiancé Orlando Bloom stunned fans as they dressed up and added “spaced out” alien-like prosthetics to their formal looks.
The 39-year-old Firework hitmaker shared snaps on social media, revealing their unusual accessories as they headed out to a star-studded bash. The couple, who have been dating since 2016, were reportedly invited to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ 60th birthday party, which was space themed in reference to the billionaire’s interplanetary venture Blue Origin.
Orlando, 46, even donned a pair of prosthetic ears in a throwback to his days playing elf warrior Legolas in the Lord of the Rings franchise, while Katy had a pair of antler-like additions to her forehead. She also rocked a pair of fake ears, and finished off her space-themed outfit with a champagne coloured gown that featured a thigh high split, as well as an embroidered bodice.

Many of her followers initially thought her outfit was homage to her huge hit E.T., in which she sings about falling in love with an alien with lyrics including: “Boy, you're an alien, your touch, so foreign, it's supernatural, extraterrestrial.” Her fans went wild over the E.T. references in her outfit, with one commenting: “I thought it was e.t 2.0 omg,” as another added: “I'm gagged.”

A source told The Sun that Katy’s new music will be “her most personal yet”, and a tour is expected to accompany the release of her long-awaited new album. The Teenage Dream hitmaker hasn’t toured since 2018, as she’s been performing her Play residency in Las Vegas for the last two years.
“She has been doing it on her own terms and it is quite different from anything she has released before,” the source added. Katy has yet to comment on the report, but has finished her Vegas residency, and has not yet announced any new plans, leaving fans speculating she’s heading back into the studio. The source claimed there was “big demand” for Katy to head out on tour again, with some suggesting it will be a huge production similar to the Eras Tour of her rival, Taylor Swift.
