TikTok star Ed Matthews was brutally knocked out of the ring by mystery opponent Luis Pineda in their Misfits Boxing fight.

Matthews was headlining Misfits Boxing 12 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds against Pineda on Saturday night. Three ‘mystery’ opponents walked to the ring before Pineda was introduced as the real opponent and Matthews wasted no time in charging towards the Mexican when the fight got underway.

Pineda was dropped in the first round but the referee ruled it a push instead of a knockdown. Matthews was exhausted when the second round started and was on the back foot being beaten up by Pineda. Matthews was forced into the ropes and dropped by a right hand that sent him through the ropes onto the judges’ table.

Fans reacted to the KO by writing: "Now from that angle you can all say there was no push, not that there was one to be argued in the first place." A second comment read: "Oh my god, Pineda just knocked him through the ring onto the judges table." A final user wrote: "Pineda goes down as the first person in Misfits Boxing history to KO someone out of the ring!"

Elsewhere on the Misfits Boxing 12 card, Elle Brooke knocked out AJ Bunker in their rematch to win the women's middleweight belt. X Factor winner Ashley Tebi fought to a split draw with OJ Rose after four hard-fought rounds. There were big knockout wins for Tristan Hamm against ‘Not Logan Paul’ and Fox Townley against Small Spartan Jay.

TikTok star Ben Williams won a one-sided decision against the 'first ever influencer boxer' Fes Batista whilst Chase DeMoor picked up his first boxing win by defeating Malcolm Minikon. Tebi’s friend and fellow Rak-Su member Myles Stephenson lost to DTG and Most Wanted was knocked out by Joey Knight in the opening fight of the night.
