Elle Brooke brutally KO's AJ Bunker in Misfits Boxing rematch to win title

Elle Brooke had the last laugh in her rivalry with AJ Bunker as she knocked out the former Love Island star to win the Misfits Boxing women's middleweight title.

Bunker was pumping out her jab as the fight got underway with the referee quickly stepping in to stop the pair from wrestling. The former Love Island star landed a couple of good right hands in the first round but Brooke came back with one of her own at the bell. Both women struggled to find any sort of rhythm as they scrapped it out in the clinch.

Brooke landed a good one-two on the break and the referee warned Bunker for leading with their head whilst exchanging. Brooke was left confused after Bunker bizarrely fell to her knees as the champion seemed tired come the third round. Brooke landed a huge right hand that floored Bunker and despite beating the count the referee waved the fight off to crown Brooke the new champion.

"I wasn't always like 'Yeah I want to knock her out!' but I wanted to make a point and not leave it up to the judges and that's exactly what I did. The referee kept saying 'Keep boxing' but it was normal boxing, it wasn't dirty boxing. After the first round I had to think 'Great, I'm losing this'. He took a point off really soon and I think that was foul play," Brooke told Mirror Fighting after her win.

"Now I'm going to go Vegas, then go skiing and get back straight into the gym. Maybe a crossover boxer next, hopefully there is another influencer boxer to fight soon. I don't want to get too big for my boots and be like 'Let's get a UFC fighter in that's well hard'. Let's take my time and build me, I enjoy boxing and progressing in the sport."

Elsewhere on the Misfits Boxing 12 card, Ed Matthews was brutally knocked out of the ring by mystery opponent Luis Pineda in the main event. X Factor winner Ashley Tebi fought to a split draw with OJ Rose. There were first round knockout wins for Tristan Hamm who beat ‘Not Logan Paul’ and Fox Townley who beat Small Spartan Jay.

Irish TikTok star Ben Williams won a one-sided decision against Fes Batista whilst Chase DeMoor picked up his first boxing win by beating Malcolm Minikon. Tebi’s childhood friend and fellow Rak-Su member Myles Stephenson lost to DTG and Most Wanted was stopped by Joey Knight in the first fight of the night.
