Masked Singer's Piranha 'exposed' as talent show judge as identity 'let slip'
The Masked Singer fans 'know' exactly who Piranha is on the ITV series after the latest episode.
Air Fryer, Bubble Tea, Owl, Piranha and Eiffel Tower were the five costumes battling it out on the show on Saturday night, as they took on school disco week. But as Piranha delivered another epic performance and gave away some big clues, some fans were convinced they had revealed their identity on the show.
Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan were back on the panel, this week joined by actress and comedian Jennifer Saunders, with panellist Rita Ora missing again. As Piranha prepared to perform once more, clues included being different, references to the millennium and being frightened of their own shadow.
There were also clues about being on stage and some pinecones - and some hand soap. They then performed Treasure by Bruno Mars.
Viewers tuning in at home were sure it was a musician and TV talent show coach or judge who was behind the masked. The vocals alone pretty much gave the game away, given the singer's distinctive voice.

The Masked Singer UK 2024 viewers have 'rumbled' who is under the Piranha costume (ITV)Fans were sure once more that it was McFly's Danny Jones performing as Piranha, with him being a coach on The Voice Kids UK. McFly appeared on British soap Hollyoaks, and in a movie with Chris Pine - hence the pinecones. They also won a Brit Award in 2005, with this year being included as a clue.
The clues and the voice led many to this decision, with one fan writing on X: "piranha is 1000000000000% @itsDannyJones," as another said: "Piranha is Danny Jones from Mcfly on the @MaskedSingerUK. He will definitely go on to win!"
Another fan commented: "I’m sticking with Danny from Mcfly being piranha," while a fourth said: "piranha is a million times Danny Jones. It has to be." It comes a week after the judges booted out the third celebrity, as Rat was unmasked as Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas. Speaking about joining The Masked Singer, she said: "The worst part of performing in the costume is the head gets very hot, it feels quite claustrophobic.

The week prior it was revealed that Chicken Caesar was Alexander Armstrong. The TV star and comedian is known for the likes of Pointless, Armstrong and Miller and Classic FM. Explaining the slew of clues on the show, it was revealed the BRIT Award was actually the Classic BRIT Awards, which Alexander hosted.
Fans were sure once more that it was McFly's Danny Jones performing as Piranha (ITV)Other clues included: "I'm a great Roman Explorer", which was a nod to presenting the documentary Rome's Invisible City. Elsewhere, "LXX is 70 in Roman numerals, a reference to Alexander's year of birth 1970", "Chicken Caesar's accent was a nod to Alexander being born in the North East" and "history and friend in the city, hinted to starring in Horrible Histories: The Movie with Kim Cattrall".
In week one, Weather unmasked as Dionne Warwick on the ITV series. Music icon Dionne left the panel starstruck as she unveiled herself as the star under the costume.
She then shared her joy at being asked to do the series, but admitted the struggles she faced trying to disguise her voice on the show. Clues included being powerful and dominating, and weathering the storm - as well as references to Blues music.
