Charlotte Hawkins gobsmacked after very awkward GMB underwear blunder

Good Morning Britain took a turn when Charlotte Hawkins' underwear blunder was revealed.

The weather presenter who often sits on the main panel alongside Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid was left utterly speechless when Ben shared the revelation. During a discussion on the ITV breakfast programme, Charlotte revealed her fears after staying in a hotel.

Speaking on the show, she said: "When I leave a hotel room, I am one of these people that checks, double checks. I have this fear of leaving something behind and that's it, it's gone forever."

But Ben, 49, couldn't resist divulging Charlotte's secret as he stated she must worry about checking out of hotels due to leaving things behind.

During the live discussion, Ben explained that one of Charlotte's stories was extremely "embarrassing" so she would certainly fear her belongings being picked up by somebody else.

"Charlotte once got changed behind a curtain and left all of her gear," he said, before adding: "Including all of her underwear, and someone had to go and get it and send it back to her." Completely shocked by Ben's bombshell, Charlotte exclaimed: "What?!" Before he went on to say: "So once you've done that once, you have to sort of panic, there's no going back from that."

She seemed to be in shock as she responded: "I'm regretting telling you that story earlier this morning that I wasn't necessarily going to share with people. If I had done, I might've toned it down a bit!" "The stage manager that had to go and fold up all your gear including," Ben revealed.

"I was so mortified!" she commented before saying: "Also they had folded it in a little neat pile for me, including my pants sat right at the top, which was so embarrassing but look I'm not the only one, people leave a lot things behind in hotel rooms!" In a bid to move on from the discussion of her underwear, Charlotte went on to reveal what other people have left behind in hotel rooms.

The list included things such as dentures and a clown costume. "Dentures apparently left behind the whole time," she said before adding: "A glass eye, prosthetic limbs, witchcraft artefacts and even a full clown costume. I mean, you'd notice that one if you'd left it behind?"

The camera soon turned to weather broadcaster Laura Tobin who appeared to find the story amusing as she struggled to contain her reaction.
