Britney Spears' sister Jamie quits 'world's toughest' TV show after two days

Jamie Lynn Spears broke down in tears as she quit the 'world's toughest' reality TV programme, lasting just two days on Special Forces.

The younger sister of Toxic hitmaker Britney Spears, 41, Jamie left the popular Fox show on Wednesday night after only 48 hours in training.

Much like SAS: Who Dares Wins in the UK, Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, tasks celebrity recruits in the US with "surviving real military training" with "no mercy".

Jamie didn't really get off to the best start, being branded a "buffoon" by an instructor on day one before finally throwing in the towel.

Confiding in Spice Girls star Mel B, Jamie admitted she "can't do it" as she quit the tricky task-based TV show on yesterday's episode.

"Like, I just can't do it one more night. I can't do it," she told the musician right at the start of the episode – as Mel calls over the instructors.

"You sure?" Mel asks as Jamie Lynn replies "Yes".

Speaking in confessional, Britney's sister explained: "I miss my children when I'm away from them for a couple of hours. So this is a very big leap for me."

She detailed not wanting to be a "c**p mum" to daughters Maddie, 14, and four-year-old Ivey, explaining she wanted to see them.

"Not only do I love them and want to be with them, but being away from them like this, even if it's something for myself, makes me feel like a c**p mum," she said.

"They didn't ask for their mom to be gone. My babies," Jamie cried as instructors asked for her armband, signalling her exit from the show.

"We know when someone's going to quit," the instructor said in confessional. Jamie Lynn was the fifth recruit to leave the course, leaving only 11 recruits.

Mel B later admitted: "Being part of the Spice Girls, I'd like to think I'm very much part of a group, where you can be relied on, and you can rely on other people.

"But when somebody you absolutely love leaves, that's a really tough thing."
