Thinking about copping a new pair of trainers?

Well, now is the time. January may be getting long in the tooth but big brands are still offering major discounts on some of their biggest designs. So far this month we've seen Nike host a huge sale that features some big price cuts on some in-demand items such as Jordan Essentials and Nike Air Max.

However, if it's strictly trainers you're looking for then you're in the right place as we're going to break down the best out there across Nike, Adidas and New Balance. We've taken a look at an array of shoes that can fit any occasion, any mood and in several colourways so let's take a look at what some of the biggest footwear brands in the world are offering as the January sales begin to wrap up.

Starting with Nike, one of the big looks that jumps right out is the Nike React Vision. Like most of the best trainers these days, offer that stylish balance between sporty and the casual look.

They come in several different colourways but it's these in the grey fog/sail/light smoke/team orange that really pop and with 39% off they're now retailing on Nike for £77.99 which is down from the original price of £129.95, and you can get them here.

Then there's the ever trusty Dunks. This time in the low design in an interesting colourway of coconut and purple, It's always a shoe that evokes that sweet sense of nostalgia with a heavy 80's feel that's never really been tampered with making them one of the legitimate retro trainers on the market today. There's 39% off this pair in January making them £71.99 reduced from the original price of £119.95 and you can get them here.

If their most iconic shoe, New Balance say "The 574 was built to be a reliable shoe that could do a lot of different things well rather than as a platform for revolutionary technology" and that's why it's much loved, a reliable trainer, that comes in every colour imaginable, that also fits every mood and, almost, every occasion. The Adidas sale also has a few hidden gems on offer. The Adidas Run 60s offer a simple throwback style that's for those who don't want the fuss of anything too overcomplicated, instead the Run 60s give you that classic no-nonsense silhouette in a colourway you simply can't go wrong with. If you're on the hunt for something that's going to set you apart, make you stand-out then there's a pair for you too.

Meet the Ozweego. Yes, it's not a new shoe but it's one that's already gained a sense of timelessness. A short while ago they were being lauded and were enjoying a mini revival with Sportskeeda reviewing the Ozweego and placing it third in their ranking of the comfiest adidas trainers, saying "The feeling of cushioning is unrivalled, and the suede, woven body also contributes to these comfortable Adidas sneakers' overall appeal." while Lifestyle Asia says "Wearing OZWEEGOS is like walking on clouds!".
