The numbers are in for tonight's National Lottery jackpot of a whopping £9.1million - money that could change one lucky Brit's life forever.

However, no one's won the jackpot, which means it will be rolled over a fifth and final time for Saturday. After players failed to win last Saturday's £7.5million Lotto jackpot, it was rolled over to tonight, marking the fourth time it had been bumped forward. Each time a bit more money is added to the jackpot. But alongside the jackpot, matching five main numbers and the bonus ball will see you take home a cool £1million as well.

The draw will take place around 8pm and will also be followed by this week's final £500,000 Thunderball draw, which takes place a short while after at approximately 8.15pm. Millions play the lottery every week and have done so since it was introduced back in 1994.

If tonight's prize isn't won, it will roll over one more time, adding more to the prize, before it must be won next time around.

This comes after last night, one lucky player walked away with an eye-watering £75million EuroMillions win. They matched all the main numbers to win the top prize, taking home the life-changing money.

Lotto curse - Brits whose lives were destroyed when they became millionaires

Many of us dream of winning the lottery - but history shows that it isn't always the golden ticket to happiness.

The money can help with a lot of life's problems without a doubt, but sometimes it can create new ones too.

For some winners who walked away millionaires after their ticket came up trumps, life really did improve - and they would never wish they could return to their old life. But for others, their huge fortunes ended up becoming a burden, leading to poverty, huge bust-ups and even death.

The tragedy follows a clear pattern - the joy of winning is replaced by despair, as they either blow through a fortune, or their personal lives become unbelievably stressful.

Lotto winner took home £2million but still ended up sleeping on pub floor

One national lottery winner scooped £2million but ended up sleeping on the floor of his own pub.

Mike Antonucci scooped the jackpot back in 1995, and thought he was set for life.

He quit his job as an antiques dealer and went on a spending spree that included luxury cars, yachts, a pub, massage parlour and more.

However, he ended up in court over a £400 row and sleeping on the floor of his own pub.

Young couple heartbroken after £182million lotto win matched their numbers - but they didn't receive a penny

One couple were left devastated after their numbers came up on a £182million EuroMillions jackpot - but they didn't win a penny.

Rachel Kennedy, 19, and Liam McCrohan, 21, were left “absolutely heartbroken” in March after claiming they'd missed out on a £182million EuroMillions jackpot.

The couple, from Hertfordshire, realised their usual numbers of 6, 12, 22, 29, 33, 6 and 11 had come up but there was one major catch - their ticket payment hadn't gone through as their account hadn't had the necessary £2.50.

They had played the same numbers for five weeks in a row, before all seven digits appeared in the draw.

Rachel explained how she had set up her account to automatically buy a EuroMillions ticket for each draw - but when payment for the winning ticket was attempted, the lottery account did not have enough funds. Meaning they didn't win.

Here's what to do if your luck is in and your numbers come up tonight.

It's quite simple, all you need to do is ring the number on the back of your ticket to make your claim.

That call will get through to a call centre where staff are dedicated to dealing with Lottery related matters. It's not just winners - the staff there also take calls from newsagents who want to order more scratch cards or whose Lottery ticket dispenser isn't working, that kind of thing.

So, it's a bit of a lottery for them too regarding who'll be on the other end of the line.

They'll work on validating your claim, and once it's all been okayed - you'll receive your winnings!

When do winners get their money?

The lucky few who's tickets turn into the multi-million-pound jackpots will get their winnings transferred to them within 48 hours usually.

However, officials recommend that it doesn't go into a normal high street savings account.

Instead they will tell winners to open a private account. Most of the big banks have teams that only deal with the immensely wealthy, including lottery winners.

Knowledge of these customers are said to be shielded from ordinary staff.
