Fans of This Morning are tipped to have a little bit more stability on the troubled daytime show - as radio host Sian Welby is being tipped as Holly Willoughby’s replacement.

The ITV show has been rotating their roster of hosts since Phillip Schofield, 61, quit the show in May last year - and since Holly Willoughby, 42, quit last October after a horrifying kidnap and murder plot against her was foiled. In the months since, fans of the long-running daytime magazine show have been left feeling a little at sea as the roster of relief hosts including Josie Gibson, Alison Hammond, Rylan Clark, Emma Willis and more has spun and spun with changing hosting line-ups appearing on screens almost daily.

Now ITV has hinted a more stable approach to the show has been found - with 50-year-old Dermot O’Leary, who has been co-hosting on a part time basis in 2021, being paired with radio presenter Sian, 37. The duo are expected to host multiple episodes together - with some reports suggesting she will fill in for Holly full time.

A source told the MailOnline: "Sian has many years of presenting experience under her belt, she is very much ear marked as being a star of the future. She has done really well already on This Morning so the bosses thought it was time to give her the reins to the whole show rather than just segments. Viewers love a new, fresh face on the show so everyone involved in it is really excited."

However, an ITV spokesperson downplayed the suggestion Sian will be hosting the show full time, explaining: “she is just hosting next week Monday to Thursday.” This Morning’s official Instagram page announced Sian and Dermot would be fronting the show from Monday 22 until Thursday 25 January, stating: "Join @dermotleary and @sianwelby next week on #ThisMorning! Tune in on Monday from 10am on ITV1, ITVX and STV."

Sian, who has been part of the wider This Morning team since 2023 and has hosted segments including fronting her What To Watch section, reacted to the post saying she is pinching herself. Reacting to the statement, the radio star, best known for helming shows on Heart FM and co-hosting Capital Breakfast, wrote: “This news is about me and even I don’t believe it,” alongside a crying-with-laughter emoji and a mind blown emoji. But followers were quick to encourage her to seize the moment with both hands.

One fan wrote in reply to Sian’s statement on Instagram: “Start to believe Sian, this your time!!!” And another gushed: “congratulations so well deserved after all your hard graft.” Even fellow This Morning part time presenters were lining up to congratulate the new host.

The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes, who has co-hosted This Morning on and off since 2013. She wrote: “YES!!!!! Get It Girl,” along with celebratory emojis. Former Big Brother contestant Kate Lawler, who has helmed occasional segments on This Morning since September last year, wrote: “Wahoo Sian! Looking forward to watching you both.”
