A suburban woman vented about her troubles with her neighbor's gardener, lamenting on how she's unceremoniously woken up every Tuesday morning by a leaf blower.

Reddit user Imshelbs96, who said she was six months pregnant with twins, expressed on a forum this week her frustrations with a neighbourhood gardener who arrives to work at the same home at the early hours of 7am, every Tuesday morning. "I'm over it," she writes on the post.

Imshelbs96 wrote that her neighbour's driveway is about 8 feet from her bedroom windows, which are all on one side of the home. When the gardener arrives, he begins working on his employer's yard, but he uses about 45 minutes of that time blowing their driveway with a leaf blower.

"No matter what the weather, no matter if there is leaves or not, he blows down the driveway for about 45 minutes," the soon-to-be mother wrote.

The noise is overwhelming for Imshelbs96 not only because she is pregnant, but because she regularly works late and doesn't arrive home until midnight. The woman has begun dreading Monday nights because she knows the morning will begin with the blaring sound of a leaf blower.

"I work late and don’t get home until midnight. Every Monday night I am filled with anxiety knowing I’m going to get woken up," Imshelbs96 wrote. "Especially being pregnant when I am up every 2 hours from back pain and having to pee already."

The gardener has rejected any kind of compromise. Shelbs said she asked her neighbours to inquire whether the worker could arrive an hour later, but he said no. The gardener offered the same answer to Shelbs husband, saying his schedule "is what it is." Therefore, the pregnant woman is essentially out of options as the city is powerless because there is no noise ordinance after 7.am.

"I checked," she asserted. Between the struggles of undergoing pregnancy and enduring sleep deprivation, Shelbs is considering a sneakier tactic.

"Would it be absolutely horrible of us to turn on our sprinklers on that side of the house and moisten the neighbours driveway from 7-8 am on Tuesdays so he can’t blow there?" she writes in the forum. "I’m literally at my wits end with the guy. And when he wakes up my kids I’m going to be pissed."

One user, Souprunknwn, suggested she bribe the gardener to stop using the leaf blower with $100(£78.94). Shelbs rejected the idea stating she's not willing to pay that sum for the gardener who would probably finish his work in under 30 minutes.

Another user, Bossyboots801, said she was lucky to have to endure a loud leaf blower for only 45 minutes as they are forced to listen to their neighbor do landscaping work for four hours, with which he uses "gas-powered" tools.
