Chloe Madeley has admitted she's never been happier, months after her split from James Haskell.

The television personality and personal trainer announced in October that she and James, 38, had decided to call time on their marriage after five years. The couple first met after James attempted to contact her on social media before they eventually went on their first date in central London at a health food restaurant.

But after five years, they grew apart and stories emerged of James allegedly partying with a mystery woman which left the star feeling "very angry and very hurt". Chloe and James have insisted they remain amicable for their daughter, Bodhi, as they navigate co-parenting.

In a fresh update, Chloe, 36, took to Instagram to engage in a Q&A with her online followers. She was asked by one anonymous fan if she was happy and her response appears to be a subtle dig at her former husband.

"Can't remember the last time I was this happy," she quipped, before continuing: "I am a very lucky girl and I know I am and I'm beyond grateful." Before this, Chloe was asked by a follower for the best advice in order to stay happy. She responded: "Just be nice to people and you'll feel so much better about yourself and your life.

"I recently learned that fighting fire with fire does, in fact, leave you feeling burned. Surround yourself with people who impress you with their kindness and aim to pay it back, and forward." Since her split, Chloe has been supported by her famous parents, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan as well as pals including Lou Teasdale.

Meanwhile, James has also discussed the breakdown of their marriage on The Jeremy Vine Show earlier this month. Jeremy, 58, mentioned that Chloe had been on the show the week before, and declared: "I was about to say your wife and I thought: 'No, ex-wife or ex.' How would you describe each other?" James clarified: "She's still technically my wife... We are co-parenting."

He then explained he had tuned in to the episode while looking after his daughter at home. James said: "Listen we are co-parenting. I'm still living at home. I was watching, I was looking after Bodhi, the full hands-on co-parenting. But she was brilliant. Chloe is always fantastic. She is one of the best writers and has the ability of articulating points in the best ways… When she comes on here she is fantastic."
