Love Island viewers fans slam Toby Aromolaran for 'shading' ex Chloe Burrows
Love Island All Stars fans have slammed Toby Aromolaran after he made comments about his ex Chloe Burrows.
Reality show fans tuning in to the first episode of the spin-off show - which brings back past Love Island contestants for a second chance at romance - were unimpressed when 24-year-old Toby showed up and immediately made remarks about 28-year-old Chloe. The former couple were contestants on season seven of the show back in 2021 - but their romance was rocked when Toby ditched Chloe to couple up with Abigail Rawlings, 29.
He then moved on to date Mary Bedford, 24, only to then re-couple with Chloe and the pair made it to the final. Toby is now one of the All Star contestants - while Chloe is not featured on the show.
While being introduced to the spin-off series, Toby was shown footage of a bombshell moment when he pied Chloe by arriving at a coupling ceremony with Abigail on his arm. Reviewing the footage, Toby said: “I don’t understand why everyone was shocked, to be honest… I don’t know what to say at the moment, to be honest. I’m a bit shocked. I shouldn’t be laughing.”

We’re not together now. So maybe we shouldn’t have won… Going back in now, I think I’m looking for someone who is going to give me their all and lock it down.”

His comments, however, were deemed derogatory by Love Island fans - who flocked to social media to condemn him. One outraged fan wrote online: “These sly digs Toby is making about Chloe and their relationship…” and another added: “The awkward tension between Georgia and Toby #LoveIsland.”
Another fan wrote: “Did Toby just shade Chloe? #LoveIsland.” And a further fan demanded: “Toby is not allowed to mention Chloe’s name for fun.”

The way Toby just laughed is horrible, Chloe go back and put him to rights.”
Another wrote: ‘Toby has not changed one bit since his season.... but he is right him and Chloe should’ve won.” And a further fan said he blew things in 2021, writing: “Toby lost a real one with Chloe Burrows I never expected that breakup.”
Speaking later on the show, Toby expressed his fear that people have misunderstood him. Explaining why he’d returned to the show, writing: “Everyone thinks I'm a player, but I'm just trying to find the one.”
Before ‘entering the All Stars villa, Toby had previously admitted to the MailOnline he would find it awkward if Chloe does show up on the show at some point during the coming weeks. He said: “I think it'd be funny, because I feel like when I get in awkward situations I lean into them and I find them quite funny instead of being very, awkward or so.
“So I think that that would be the same in that scenario. And I always have love for the girl, and I'm sure she has love for me as well. We had a great thing in our relationship.” He also admitted he would find it difficult to see her getting with one of the other contestants.
He said: “Oh, maybe. Vice versa as well. So I don't know. Probably, yeah, it probably would be hard. t is one of those ones, my ex, so eventually, you're going to have to get over them. You know what I mean? It's my first ex getting over, but yeah, eventually, you're going to have to move on.”
