Strictly's Jowita Przystal fumes she's 'not happy' after Sunday Brunch blunder

Strictly Come Dancing professional Jowita Przystal was left visibly unimpressed when she appeared on Sunday Brunch earlier today alongside former Strictly contestant, Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

The duo appeared on the weekend talk show ahead of Strictly's live tour when the hosts, Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer asked her about her birthplace in Poland - but incorrectly named her home city. The hosts claimed that she was from the Polish city of Katowice - but this is not where she is from.

Later in the programme, Tim addressed the awkward blunder and said: "We’ve had an official complaint, Simon, from one of our international celebrities. Jowita, you’ve complained that you weren’t happy because you are not actually from that place I said you were, Katowice."

Jowita responded saying: "I’m not from there so we broke the rules and I’ve been asked questions about a place I haven’t come from.” And it was at this point Tim chimed in and said: "In fairness, we did ask you where you are from and you said, ‘Well, the nearest place is Katowice’,” to which Jowita hit back and said: “Because probably you prepared only this question, so I was just kind, you know?”

Jowita then clarified that she is from Czeladz, which is a town 15 minutes away from Katowice. Jowita has stepped in to replace Krishnan’s original Strictly partner, as Lauren Oakley was unable to take part in the live tour. Instead, Lauren will perform with her co-star Giovanni Pernice in his Let Me Entertain You tour.

The Strictly Live Tour will start on January 19 in Birmingham and will go on until February 11 at London’s O2 Arena. Strictly stars are set to travel to a number of cities in the UK including Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. Taking part in the live tour is winner Ellie Leach and her professional partner Vito Coppola, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Layton Williams along with Nikita Kuzmin, Annabel Croft with Graziano Di Prima , Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, as well as Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu.

Speaking about the upcoming tour, Krishnan said: “My whole time on Strictly has been life-changing. So the chance to keep going, take on another challenge and go on tour, this time with a new dance partner in Jowita, is irresistible. I can’t wait!” Back in September Krishnan revealed that he is suffering from a genetic heart condition which could have impacted his performance, during the BBC series.

This meant that backstage staff had to keep a defibrillator on set while he performed his upbeat routines. The 53-year-old was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which according to the British Heart Foundation, is a disease of your heart muscle, where the muscle wall of your heart becomes thickened.

Krishnan told The Sun: "The basic advice is, I've got to keep my heart out of the red zone, which is the last 15 percent of your heart rate. So, I've got to keep my heart rate below about 140, and I don't know whether you can do that or not, in a 90-second very fast dance. My cardiologist basically said, 'I can't give you a hundred percent guarantee that you won't drop dead, but you'll be fine'. The Charleston will be a challenge, but we'll see."
