Ranvir Singh's wild love life - toyboy lover, Strictly curse and husband split
Ranvir Singh has revealed she's taken a huge step with her boyfriend Luis Church after inviting him to move in with her and her son and mother.
The Good Morning Britain star, 46, is happily loved up with Louis, 28, who she met on the set of Strictly Come Dancing following her divorce.
Ranvir let slip the huge update to her love life after speaking about morning routine. '[At 5:30am] I try to talk myself back to sleep but it doesn’t always work. I get up, make a decaf tea and start chopping an onion for a dahl for lunch.
'My partner Louis is terrible. He always hits snooze every ten minutes – it drives me mad!' she told The Telegraph.
Ranvir lives with her 10-year-old Tushaan, who she shares with ex husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal. In her latest interview, Ranvir also gushed about going on weekend walks with her new man and their cockerpoo Shmizzles. "I'm make-up free at the weekends and I don't care what I look like," she gushed.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourAfter her sweet admission, we take a look at Ranvir's rocky road to finding happiness from her divorce to those Strictly rumours to her cosy new life with her younger man.
Divorce
In 2012 Ranvir tied the knot with Ranjeet Singh Dehal and they went on to welcome son, Tushaan, who is now 10. Just six years later Ranvir left fans surprised when she casually dropped live on GMB that she was single.
She told co-host Ben Shephard on air: "Well, I'm single," and Ranvir confirmed she was no longer with her Ranjeet. Ranvir later hinted that she had found something on her husband's phone which had began the road to their separation and divorce.
Strictly curse rumours
Months announcing her divorce, Ranvir revealed she'd joined the line-up for Strictly Come Dancing paired with ladies man Giovanni Pernice.
The pair wowed the judges with their incredible chemistry which led to rumours Ranvir had scummed to the so-called 'Strictly curse' and was dating her Italian dance partner. Head judge Shirley Ballas even told them "I love the flirting and teasing, there's definitely a strong chemistry between this team."
Single mum Ranvir said at the time: “We both find the idea that we might get hit by the curse very funny – he is a 30-year-old man!”
Moving on with a new man
As it turns out though, 46-year-old Ranvir was indeed meeting the new love of her life on Strictly but with the show's production secretary, backstage, who is 18 years her junior.
Louis Church, 28, had also worked on Soccer Aid and Come Dine With Me but it was love after the first dates as they developed a romance which has seen Louis now move in with Ranvir as they take their relationship to the next level, with a big step in commitment.
Heading into Strictly without a romantic partner, it soon became easy to suggest that she and Giovanni were hitting it off away from the screens, as well as during their exemplary dance routines, but it was Loius where the romance was of which Ranvir has since joked about his age, saying: "We don’t ever joke about the age difference." A year after they met one another, Ranvir made their relationship official and gushed over her new beau.
Speaking to The Sun's Fabulous magazine. Ranvir said about her age-gap romance: "Actually, age is no guarantee of someone being wonderful to you. There are complete gits who are exactly the same age as you. Age can define life experience, but that is only valuable if you've learned from it – it doesn't always mean you've got your life figured out. There are things that he is better at than I am in terms of just being a good human being and I'm learning from him. So to me, it's a complete joy."
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman 'sign deal' to host Strictly for two more yearsRanvir has since gushed about her boyfriend: "He's a really calm person and in the midst of all of that, there was just a really lovely energy." But while many may have been quick to judge their relationship, Ranvir's son Tushaan was quick to give his seal of approval for Louis. Ranvir admitted her busy TV career has taken a toll on her personal life and Saturdays are "precious" to her as she gets time with her son. She also revealed Louis and Tushaan have a close bond, and they enjoy playing video games together.
This has paved the way for the relationship to take another big step forward, with Louis moving in with the GMB presenter. Giving an insight into life at home, Ranvir revealed: "I’d love to say I spend a wintery evening in, playing family board games, but in reality, Louis and Tushaan play video games and I’m excluded!" She added: "Sometimes we go to the cinema and Nando’s but we also love watching At Home With The Furys on Netflix."
