Meghan Markle's potential Hollywood gigs - podcast producer to theatre launch

Meghan Markle's potential Hollywood gigs have been revealed by PR experts.

It was reported last year that the Duchess of Sussex could be making a comeback to acting, and even kicked off her return with a gig in an advert as a bumbling intern for a brand she invests in. Meghan has an acting background, having starring in Netflix's legal drama Suits and other Hollywood films like Remember Me and Horrible Bosses.

She also used to work as a briefcase girl in Deal or No Deal. Now, as she reportedly gears up for a return, here's everything we know about her potential gigs. PR expert Laura Perkes exclusively told us that the Duchess could be good at "directing others" so a producer or director role could be ideal for her.

"Meghan's acting abilities have always been a bit dubious so I can't see any blockbuster Hollywood directors casting her in a leading role, however, I do think she'd been good in a role behind the scenes as she's very good at directing others and making sure they behave in the way that she wants, so directing or producing could be a great move for her," she told us.

"Having had her own podcast, Archetypes, I think producing and marketing podcasts could be a great niche for her, or even a strategic role in helping independent directors and producers pitching their ideas to Netflix, utilising her own contacts and sharing her own experience of working on a Netflix documentary.

"Streaming will continue to rise in popularity this year, so there's an opportunity for her to monetise her expertise and create a niche that plays to her strengths and her talents," Laura added. "We know from the content that she used to create for her lifestyle blog, The Tig, that she has a great eye for detail, is at the forefront of current trends and knows exactly how to give an audience what it wants.

"If she were to relaunch The Tig then I think it would be even more successful now than it was before she closed it down." Laura then revealed that it's unlikely that she'll return to gameshows as it's "low brow" for an ex-royal. She said: "I can't see her agreeing to be involved in televised game shows. She needed them at the start of her career as a stepping stone to greater things, but it's definitely low brow compared to her (ex) role as a Duchess.

"She could even go one step further and launch her own theatre or performing arts centre and work with underprivileged and disadvantaged children, in a similar vein to what King Charles created with The Princes Trust. It would further extend the values and ethos of Archewell, whilst also acting as an olive branch to The Royal Family."
