Bigfoot's identity has been worked out by fans of The Masked Singer UK after their performance tonight.

Bigfoot has left both the fans and judges guessing about their identity, with clues so far including the character bumping into lots of things, whilst they also mentioned they had a 'cast of friends, prompting one of the judges to guess they had a link to the hit US show.

However, after tonight's performance, fans are convinced they've worked out who the celebrity hiding under the mask is - after the show dropped a big clue this evening. Viewers rushed to social media to share their thoughts.

One wrote: "No point with the clues for Bigfoot, we all know it’s Alex #MaskedSingerUK," as a second added: "Alex Brooker 100% #MaskedSingerUK." A third shared: "this is so obviously Alex Brooker. It just can’t be anyone else #MaskedSingerUK."

Alex actually worked alongside judge Davina McCall on Channel 4 show The Jump, which they hosted together in 2014.

In one previous clue, Bigfoot had said: "I hope I didn’t scare you and I hope I didn’t put my big foot in it," with viewers and judge Mo Gilligan convinced this could mean they were a controversial figure or even a controversial comedian.

"You may think my talent is quite preposterous but I was once linked to a sporting rhinoceros," another clue about Bigfoot left fans puzzled as they tried to work out who might be behind the mask.

When the show returned, the only clue we were given was "Bigfoot just wants to have a good time and for the audience to have a good time!" but what hints can that give us about the person's identity?

The show has become a huge success since it started, with it even winning a BAFTA recently. Judge Davina McCall said previously: "It always swings hugely from being sublimely ridiculous to really stunning and magical. There's a million reasons why I believe it deserves a BAFTA, because if you haven't watched it, you'd think, 'Oh, that's just a ridiculous show', but it's so much more than that.

"There's so many aspects. There's the entertainment aspect. There's the quiz aspect. There's the bit where you can take part in it at home alongside everybody else. It's massive online because everybody's going, 'No, I think it's this person. No, actually this person.' We've gone next level with the clues this year and they really are disguising their voices. Joel's on the best form ever. His links are so funny. It's different from any other big shiny floor entertainment show because you are not voting somebody off, the audience chooses who are in the bottom two, and they choose who are in the bottom two generally out of a mixture of talent and fun."
