UK town slammed as 'awful' with locals claiming it's full of 'six-toed fools'
A West Country town has been harshly criticised by locals, who describe it as "awful" and filled with "six-toed fools", also highlighting a "terrible drugs problem".
Cornwall is a beloved holiday spot in the UK, known for its beautiful landscapes and beaches that draw millions of tourists each year. However, not all residents share this positive view. According to Cornwall Live, many areas across Cornwall have been labelled as the worst places to live by their own inhabitants.
On the website ILiveHere, where locals can voice their complaints about their towns and vote for the worst ones, Cornwall doesn't fare too well. While the Mirror does not endorse these negative views, they do make for interesting reading.
One reviewer had some opinions they were especially keen to voice about a certain village, slamming it as filled with "six-toed fools" and suffering from a drugs issue.
Looe
One person didn't have nice things to say about the town: "Tourists are the only thing going for this town. It has a burgeoning expensive overpriced property market of **** jerry built houses, a domineering Looe Harbour Commissioners who should be called the Looe Parking Commissioners, a Town Council Club where you have to put up with [alleged] bullying if your face doesn’t fit or you suggest something which might improve the town and charitable trusts who own a big wodge of key property, but mainly it’s the faux cockney locals, mostly bloated tastelessly dressed local ***** who make you count your jewellery after shaking hands, bunch of crooks and criminals all hiding out in Looe, waiting for a chance to rob you blind."

But we think that's a bit unfair. The town is actually a lovely place by the sea. It's got streets full of shops selling fun beach gear and special handmade gifts. You can find loads of places to eat like restaurants, cafes, and pubs, and there's yummy ice cream too! Plus, there's a beautiful beach to enjoy. Sure, it gets busy with holidaymakers in summer, but that's because it's such a great spot.
Liskeard
Liskeard isn't popular with everyone who lives there (Google Maps)One reviewer had a lot to say about Liskeard, Cornwall: "Liskeard, Cornwall and all its sly little outlying villages, if you move here to 'better your life' then it’s the biggest mistake you will ever make. The people who live here (and their family who’ve lived here for 1,000 years and they don’t let you forget that) are horrible! Rude beyond rude! The only people who are ok who you will meet, are not from Cornwall. They have the world’s most vicious tongues and gossip, wohhhhh everyone will know your business.
"The kids of these six-toed fools are even worse. Self harm in Cornwall is a massive problem, bullying in the schools is out of control, most of the bullies relatives work in the schools soooo no discipline there! I lived there for nearly four years and can count on one hand how many police I saw ... they really are a law unto themselves. Terrible drug problem ... it’s awful ... but NEVER is it spoken about in the media because if the truth was ever spoken about these places, it would crush the tourist industry."
Despite this, Liskeard is a small Cornish town located near some beautiful spots. Looe is just five minutes away, Britain's Ocean City is close by, and the stunning Golitha Falls is down the road. It's not a typical tourist spot, but it's far enough removed to enjoy the benefits of a tourist hotspot without the hustle and bustle.
Falmouth
Falmouth: It's just one or two streets, apparently according to one disgruntled reviewer (Lisa MacLeod)One visitor shared their thoughts on Falmouth, saying: "Falmouth is an interesting town. Vibrant, with a lot going for it. Numerous beaches and yacht havens. Yes this may seem like an ideal place to be, but there are areas that blight this town’s image.
"The worst places have to be Old Hill and Acacia. Two estates where the **** of the earth live and breathe. Separated by one main road cutting right through the middle. Old Hill is basically a dumping ground, where most councils from outside Cornwall decide to release their unruly tenants, to rid them for good. These people then unfortunately breed.
"If you decide to venture there, prepare yourself for the local youths to try and speak to you in their native tongue. It makes you wonder why the police station was built just a few hundred yards away! If you decide to relocate to Falmouth, just avoid this area and you’ll be fine."
Despite these alleged issues, Falmouth has a rich maritime history and modern creativity. Known for its deep natural harbour and beautiful beaches, as well as a bustling university that brings life to the local economy, Falmouth is much more than supposedly one or two troubled estates.
Redruth
A disgruntled reviewer Redruth, a small mining town in Cornwall, complained: "Well, you could say that Redruth is a small mining town in the heart of Cornwall, set around a red river and beaches. But step afoot in the town centre and you will be hit with an influx of six-toed buck tooth Irish *******, who won't just take you for everything you have, they'll make you look right ***** whilst doing so. Then you have the local drunkards who gather outside Iceland and slouch against the wall almost 24/7."
Redruth was once the hub of Cornwall's tin and copper mining industry during the 19th century, making it one of Cornwall's most historically significant towns, less known for its tourism.

Wadebridge
As for Wadebridge, another reviewer shared: "If you have ever paid a visit to North Cornwall then the chances are you have stopped in a town called Wadebridge. Situated roughly about eight miles or so from its closest enemy Padstow (a name which when mentioned around Wadebridge is usually accompanied by a spit on the ground) Wadebridge boasts several shops from Supermarkets like Tesco to ****markets like Lidl, yes Wadebridge has it all even a large Co-op and a cinema.

Amazingly these aren't stolen mopeds as these youngsters rich parents can afford to buy them mid or top-of-the-range scooters and the necessary tuning kits which they leave their children to install. Cue the sound of broken exhausts, high revs and car wing mirrors being smashed off. Eventually the moped gangs congregate with the walking wastes of space in the skate park where they sit atop the half pipe smoking their overpriced odourless weed and sipping on cans of Lidl brand lager or Tesco brand cider."
Wadebridge is a beautiful market town on the banks of the River Camel whose bridge is 'built on wool'. Wadebridge is central for cycling the Camel Trail between Padstow and Bodmin, and home to the Royal Cornwall Showground. The beautiful north Cornwall coast is one that often gets forgotten.
Padstow
Padstow is popular with tourists, but one resident thinks it's overrated (Sharps Brewery)The town celebrity chef Rick Stein put on the map. But one reviewer can't see past the celebrity shimmer. They said: "Padstow, such a nice holiday resort, Rick Stein (Celeb. Chef), branding everywhere (well he is the only source of income for the town).
"Padstow isn't too different from the nice picturesque villages of Mousehole or Perranporth or towns of St. Ives etc. And nothing like the sh*t holes of Penzance, Newquay or Camborne. The only problem is... ***** stuck there as they don't have jobs! There's unfortunately a gang of over 25 kids and adults (all *****) who literally sit in the town's bus shelter every night getting p***ed up and taking goodness knows what, and then proceed to taunt and try to **** up as many visitors as possible that venture by."
Even though Padstow is delightful all year round, there seems to be an ongoing problem with some locals. Beyond the elegant market town of Wadebridge and the picturesque Watergate Bay lies the beauty of Cornwall, a UK holiday hot spot blessed with natural beauty, unique culture and vibrant communities.
