We might be setting new year's resolution but I am skipping dry (skin) January for full hydration to keep my skin moisturised through the cold months.

As the weather falls close to freezing, the cold wind and indoor radiators strip away the moisture and leaving my skin dry and itchy, so it's now or never to revamp my skincare routine and give an intense boost of hydration to the body.

Recently I tried Korean beauty brand Corsrx's hydration heroes — the Hyaluronic Acid 3 serum and the Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask.

Beauty buffs should find the name, hyaluronic acid, familiar as it's the key ingredient for hydration but what sets Corsx's £28 serum apart from the over-the-counter products? The answer is the high intensity formula.

Most of the drugstore products contain less than 2% of hyaluronic acid, but the dermatologist-led TikTok sensation is packed with 3% of highly concentrated hyaluronic acid.

I applied two to three drops of serum across my forehead and cheeks after cleansing my face. It quickly absorbed into my skin withou leaving a sticky feeling.

Packed with amino acids and skin barrier-binding ceramide, the odourless, skin essential recharges my skin cells and retains the water so my face won't feel dry for the rest of the day.

Another popular K-beauty product from Corsx is their overnight mask. It's a tube of natural ingredients enriched with more than 68% of rice extract.

Rice water is a traditional beauty practice in the Far East and I have known this since I was small. It is rich in antioxidants and has "time-turning" benefits that blur away premature signs of ageing, like fine lines and wrinkles.

Undeniably you can definitely make your own rice mask but it takes time for fermentation, so Corsx's Rice Mask, £22.99 is a little "elixir in a tube" to me.

I put a thin layer on face and leave it on overnight. The next morning, I woke up with shiny, glass skin. In the past, I used to wake up feeling "oily" in the T-zone (forehead and around my nose).

But the rice mask performed an overnight miracle on me. The benefit of using a mask actually streamline my nighttime skincare routine so I spent less time on putting different serums and essences and yet, achieve a brighter complexion and leaving the feeling of deep hydration.
