Samuel L. Jackson leaves gala early after 'fight' with wife of 42 years
Samuel L. Jackson is said to have gotten into a 'fight' with his wife LaTanya Richardson at a New York City gala, with the Pulp Fiction star 'leaving early' despite being honoured.
The acting couple attended the Theatre Communications Group gala on Monday night when they ended up reportedly arguing in the press room.
74-year-old Samuel is thought to have left shortly after their 'spat', but an event organiser insisted the star had not been scheduled to attend the entire gala.
An insider at the event said: "They apparently were in a fight when they arrived. They posed for pictures together and then the fight [went on]."
They told Page Six that Samuel left the venue before the pair received their award, with LaTanya left to accept the honour by herself.

LaTanya reportedly explained to the audience that her husband left early due to Covid-19 concerns.
The Mirror has approached Samuel's representatives for comment.
A representative for the gala released a statement to Page Six reading: "As the top-billed star of The Piano Lesson, Mr. Jackson is extraordinarily cautious about the risk putting the production in jeopardy by exposing himself to COVID-19.
"Ms. Jackson accepted on behalf of both she and her husband simply to minimize his risk of exposure.
"Mr. Jackson had only ever planned on doing photos and then leaving, as everyone involved with planning the event knew in advance."
They said the gala had been a "magical evening" which helped to raise more than $300,000 (£247,000).
The incident comes after Samuel was accused of making an X-rated blunder last month as his Twitter account was caught liking explicit videos.
Fans messaged the star to warn him that everyone could see what videos the actor's Twitter account liked - even X-rated ones.
One of Samuel's followers tweeted the star saying: "@SamuelLJackson Hi mate letting you know your likes are public and everyone can see them."
