Actress Jennifer Lawrence has revealed her wedding day in 2019 to husband Cooke Maroney was "awful" and "so stressful".

Jennifer married Cooke Maroney in 2019, with the couple later welcoming son Cy in 2022. The couple met through a mutual friend in 2018 and kept their relationship private before they got engaged a year later.

The Hunger Games actress explained that her big day was "not fun" as she shared in an interview: "It's so stressful. You're not having fun. You're just like, 'Is that person having fun?'" She revealed that despite her guests telling her everything was ok, she couldn't relax and found herself "freaking out".

Speaking to to E! News, the star explained: "I'll never forget—I was freaking out about the guests being cold, and all of my friends were lying they're like, "Nobody's cold, nobody's cold, everything's fine, everything's fine. My mom was like, 'It's freezing out there, your grandmother almost died.'"

She also revealed that during her rehearsal dinner she told celebrity pal Robert De Niro to leave. She said: "I looked over and I saw Bob, who doesn't know anybody and he's kind of wandering around, and I immediately was like, 'No, this isn't what he wants to be doing. I don't want him here.' So I went over and whispered, I was like, 'Go home' and he was nice - he like talked to my parents and was polite - but I was like, 'Go.' [After he left] that just genuinely made me feel better."

The Hunger Games star recently revealed that she had to "drink" to prepare for the "really bizarre" experience of her first ever simulated sex scene, when she starred in 2016 film Passengers with Chris Pratt.

She admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that she got "really, really drunk" before filming the intimate scene, to the point where she couldn't remember what happened during it. Jennifer said: "That led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, 'What have I done? I don't know'."

Adding to her guilt was the fact that Chris was married to comic actress Anna Faris at the time. Jennifer confessed: "It was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn't tell my stomach that. So I called my mom, and I was like, 'Will you just tell me it's OK?' It was just very vulnerable. And you don't know what's too much. You want to do it real, you want everything to be real, but then... That was the most vulnerable I've ever been."
