Danniella Westbrook has been met with compliments after undergoing a makeover for a podcast appearance this week, with her having teased that she's got a "whole new look".

The actor, 50 - who rose to fame playing Sam Mitchell on BBC's EastEnders - got glammed up by makeup artist Zoe James recently. It has been suggested that it was for an appearance on a podcast, though its identity was not shared.

The "new look" was showcased in a photo uploaded to social media on Tuesday afternoon. It led to Danniella - who reportedly underwent surgery on her face just last year - receiving compliments and support from some of her fans.

Zoe - who's worked with Danniella previously - shared a photo of the actor after applying her makeup. She wrote in the caption of the Instagram post: "Today for an exciting podcast. Love our catch up and glams! Busy 2024."

The photo in the post showed Danniella wearing a white top underneath a black jacket. She'd had her makeup done prior to the photo and was also sporting some new lashes. Sharing her thoughts, the actor wrote in the comments section of the post: "Love my new look... maybe 50 isn't too bad."

The Celebrity Big Brother finalist teased the new post on her Instagram story, sharing a link to it but covering her face. She wrote to her followers: "[Zoe] has given me a whole new look... I now feel a whole new grown up."

The original post has prompted reaction on the platform, including having been liked by comedian Alan Carr. Some people took to the comments section to share compliments over the look, with one follower writing: "Beautiful Dan."

Another said: "You look stunning." A third reacted to the photo: "Absolutely beautiful darling. You look amazing. Look at those eyes popping." A fourth said: "You have stepped into the new year looking amazing. Make it the best yet."

Someone else wrote: "Wow! You look sensational! Absolutely stunning! 50 looks fabulous on you." Another person said: "You look beautiful." Others said she looked "gorgeous" and "lovely," whilst one fan wrote: "Love your hair and makeup."
