ITV Love Island's Luca Bish takes public 'swipe' at All Stars contestant

Luca Bish got Love Island fans talking after his cutting comment about Mitchel Taylor having shunned an All Stars appearance himself.

Mitchel, who starred on last year's series and was given the moniker Messy Mitch, was revealed as one of the contestants taking part in the spin-off. As fans rushed to share their thoughts, former star Luca had a lot to say too and hinted at a feud after refusing to let the development pass by without comment.

Love Island's official Instagram account shared the big news, announcing: "Last series things got messy, but with a clean slate, @mitcheltaylor_ is ready for a second shot at love #LoveIsland." The post wasn't missed by Luca, who made a very blunt comment moments later.

Instead of sharing excitement Luca made a little dig at Mitch and claimed he knew the signing was coming. Replying from his own account, Luca posted with an eyes emoji: "Thought this would happen when I said no." Mitch's ex Abi Mores also commented under Luca's comment with a laughing emoji.

The boys' beef seems to come from last year when Luca didn't like fans comparing them in the looks department, with some saying how much they resembled each other. When Mitch entered the villa, viewers were quick to draw comparisons between the lads claiming Mitch was Luca's double.

But he really didn't appear impressed with Love Island fans pitting them together and said he couldn't see it - and asked them to stop saying it. Luca who split from his Love Island partner Gemma Owen shaded the show last year on his TikTok saying he was "done" with the programme for good.

After a follower asked if he would sign up for the All Stars series which starts next week, Luca didn't mince his words: "Nah, when I walked out that villa [it] was very much bye! That was my experience I couldn't do what Scott's doing I would miss my family too much. I needed a little holiday after just to reenergise myself. It takes a lot out of you. One was enough I would say. Love Island and me are done for now and I don't think you'll see me in there anytime soon."

Mitchel is clearly looking forward to it and said: "I’ll be honest, I don’t really plan on being 'Messy Mitch'. It just depends on what day of the week it is. I wear my emotions on my sleeve and what you see is what you get. I am very honest and very opinionated and I think that’s what people like me for. If I don’t agree with something, I’m not going to hold it back."

Maya Jama is back once again to host the latest instalment of ITV2 series as past bombshells and iconic islanders enjoy a second - or possibly third - stint on the reality TV show. Fans don't have long to wait as Love Island All Stars 2024 kicks off on Monday 15 January.
