Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson breaks silence on feud with Charlotte Crosby

Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson has finally broken her silence on her feud with Charlotte Crosby and insists that she has no plans on reconciling a friendship.

The cast of Geordie Shore, who filmed their upcoming 24th series in Cyprus, saw Marnie, 31, and Charlotte go head to head - forcing the mum of one to announce that she has quit the MTV show. The row initially started around cereal being left on a child's high chair which soon escalated. And according to fellow castmate Holly Hagan-Bylth, the pressured environment in the villa was enough to create more tension than necessary.

But now, speaking to the Mirror, it looks as though Marnie, who married her beau Casey Johnson in March last year, has no intention of revisiting her friendship with Charlotte to save her own mental health. When asked if she was prepared to revisit her relationship with Charlotte, she said: "I haven't really thought about it. I feel like if I was to ever bump into Charlotte I'd say hello, like I don't hold any grudges."

She added: "But I feel like people do just drift apart. We're not 20 anymore, we're adults with children, getting married and stuff so obviously that happens. Friends can drift apart and become different people. I think that for my mental health, I just need to surround myself with positive influences, who lifts us up and support us. I don't want to surround myself with negativity."

For the first time, the cast brought along their loved ones and children to film the series. Back in August, Charlotte explained during a chat on her podcast Always On: "It just ended up going so terribly wrong. I don't know why but the whole series, I later discovered, was a bit weird. I'm sad for loads of reasons. I'm sad that I took Alba and Jake, my family, into a show that I loved so much and it went so badly wrong."

Unwilling at the time to reveal who she had fallen out with, she added: "I feel like I could cry talking about it. I felt an immense amount of guilt for not knowing better. I just thought we were going to have such a good time. There was a silly argument, over a high chair of all things, that escalated. And I just left."

Charlotte tearfully continued: "I just needed to get out of that environment. I'd never raised my voice in front of Alba ever, and I did in this argument, and I was like, 'Oh God, I feel absolutely terrible.' I've never gotten that angry and wound up. As a mam, you feel so guilty. I was riddled with guilt. I felt anxious, I felt guilty. I think in the weeks I came out of the show I just felt awful. I was so worried. Had I made a bad decision going in there with my family? For that reason, I definitely don't think I could be involved going forward again, which is so sad. It's not because of any particular person, and it's not because I wouldn't go back because I don't want to be with them."
