Georgia Harrison breaks silence as Stephen Bear set to be 'released early'

Love Island star Georgia Harrison has spoken out following the reports her criminal ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear is to be released from jail early.

The 29-year-old reality star shot to fame in 2017 as a contestant on the third season of Love Island. She later dated 33-year-old reality star Stephen - but their relationship ended explosively, with Stephen leaking footage of Georgia engaging in a sex act in a brutal case of revenge porn.

In light of the incident, Georgia became a political campaigner to fight revenge porn incidents and helped put Bear behind bars as he was found guilty of a string of crimes including voyeurism, disclosing private, sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress, and harassment without violence. He was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment - however, this week it was announced he would be released after spending just 11 months behind bars.

Now Georgia has taken to social media to share a hopeful message in the aftermath of news Bear will soon be released. On Saturday, the reality star shared a string of images of herself via Instagram.

She wrote alongside the photos: “Dear universe … thank you for everything. Thank you for the blessings, thank you for the lessons, thank you for the mistakes that weren’t really mistakes. Thank you for the friends that became angels, thank you for the tears watering the seeds of new beginnings and thank you for the law of attraction… Cheers to the last year of my 20’s … might aswell make an effort to look hot I’ve been meditating in my kitchen for far too long.”

Her update comes two days after The Sun revealed that Bear is being released from jail early. A source told the publication: “Stephen has served his time and he's due out of prison in the next few weeks. However, he's been telling pals he's not the same man that went into prison.

"There will be no hopping back on to social media or rolling straight back into the nearest nightclub when he gets out, he says he just wants to get back to east London and his family. Obviously, time will tell if he has changed his ways."

The disgraced TV personality made at least £40,000 after sharing the clip, which was filmed on a CCTV camera, without Georgia's consent. He was found guilty of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private and sexual photographs without Georgia's consent.

Following his sentencing in March of 2023, he was ordered to sign the sex offenders register and also to pay Georgia the sum of £200,000 – the highest sum awarded in an image abuse case. Months after the trial, Stephen was forced to sell his Essex pad for £525,000 on Rightmove.

Bear once bragged about making $1million in 12 hours after posting an explicit clip online.

Meanwhile, reports last weekend hinted that Georgia could soon be heading back to the Love Island villa - in the upcoming spin-off All Stars series. A new show will see former contestants return to the villa for another chance at love.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Georgia has become a role model to young people and showed immense courage during her ordeal with her heroic political campaigning. She is an amazing signing for the new show and producers are really pleased and excited she has decided to do it.”
